There's a new podcast episode you need to hear, aaaaandd it comes with homework if you live in Indiana: clear your Saturday, September 19th.

Josh Cecil sat down with Nate Spangle, host of Get IN, and told the real story behind TradeUp Fest. Turns out Josh used to be a high school teacher. He ran into a former student who became a welder and was pulling in over $100,000 a year, and it got him thinking about the story we tell kids about college versus the trades. So he built a whole festival around it.

Here's what Sept 19th looks like: Indiana and surrounding areas, TradeUp Fest at Riverview Health Arena in Noblesville, and I'm proud to say NCW is a headline sponsor. The daytime festival is free (grab your pass), 11 to 5:30, with an interactive Trades Village where you can get hands on with real demos, meet employers, and see apprenticeship programs. Music runs all day, and I'll be there as a co-emcee!

Stick around that evening for a ticketed concert with Larry Fleet, The Wilder Blue, and Nora Reese.
