It is with heavy heart that share the passing of life member "Wierd" Wayne McDowell. Per his wishes there will be no services.
Wayne was a staple of Tecumseh Lodge acting as Photographer for as way back as I can remember. Many of you will remember digging through his boxes of photos for $.25 each and if you were lucky you might find one of you on a "Pow Wow Trading Card"
Wierd always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. Some that would make you laugh and some that might make you run for the hills.
If you never got a chance to really know him then you truly missed out on a heart of gold.
Wayne was an avid Supporter of Shiners Children Hospital, The F.O.P and many other organizations. I remember being at Wayne's house and he had won a new TV from a organization raffle. He had bought every remaining ticket for it. Not because he wanted the TV but simply because he wanted to make sure they sold evey ticket.
I have known Wierd all my life and there are so many memories of Wierd that I could go on and on. Like the time I rode with him to Oklahoma and he planned the route to stop at evey Harley shop along the way to get badges. (Stop signs were optional)
Since there will be no memorial service I encourage you to share a memory here or your Pow Wow Trading Card here.
