Today is International Dot Day!

In celebration, we're highlighting a special piece of Camp in the City created by our campers! Each dot represents a camper's creativity and individuality, coming together to create something that's uniquely theirs.

During Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, we’re proud to celebrate the kids and families who are at the heart of everything we do. Through programs like Camp in the City, Camp Little Red Door, and our other Youth Services, we’re able to create opportunities for kids affected by cancer to connect, have fun, and simply be kids.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Follow along our social media each Thursday this month as we will be showcasing all our programs and services we provide for our pediatric clients across the state.

This week, we are highlighting Camp in the City, our urban day camp for campers. At Camp in the City, campers will get to explore the greater Indianapolis area. This past July at Camp in the City, campers had visits from Boone County Cake Company, Indianapolis Public Safety Units, Rowdie from the Indianapolis Indians, Fisher's Freight football team, Indy HoodRats, and Silly Safari. They also had many field trips including a trip to Holiday Park, Camptown, Ben's Ranch, and more!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Follow along our social media each Thursday this month as we will be showcasing all our programs and services we provide for our pediatric clients across the state.

For our first Thursday, we will be highlighting Camp Little Red Door at Bradford Woods. Camp Little Red Door is the oldest camp for kids with cancer in Indiana and the second oldest in the country. At Bradford Woods, kids have the opportunity to partake in all camp activities like ziplining, canoeing, and more with other kids who understand the cancer journey. This year, we celebrated the 45th year of Camp Little Red Door!

Camp Little Red Door at Bradford Woods has a dedicated medical team on staff so that kids at any point in their cancer journey can go to camp, including those in active treatment. Parents can rest easy knowing their kids are enjoying a fun and safe nature experience with friends, both new and old.

We are hiring! We are hiring a Client Service Representative to join our Program Team.

The Client Service Representative is key to Little Red Door Cancer Agency’s mission to make the most of life and the least of cancer for medically underserved cancer patients. The Client Service Representative will be directly responsible for completing intakes for new clients referred to Little Red Door and addressing the needs and concerns of current clients. This position is based in our Indianapolis office and serves as an active member of Little Red Door’s Program team. The Client Service Representative will report to the Chief of Client Services and Programs.

September's expert is Dr. Rachael Ash! Dr. Ash will provide an overview of radiation oncology, including how radiation therapy works, what patients can expect before, during, and after treatment, common side effects and their management, the benefits of radiation therapy, and advances that continue to improve cancer treatment and patient outcomes.

At the beginning of August, Bob Grand hosted the annual Camp Little Red Door Golf Tournament at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course. We are excited to announce that the golf outing has raised over $160,000 this year! This support makes Camp Little Red Door possible and works to help kids facing a cancer diagnosis along their treatment journey.

At the outing, the Robert T. Grand Leadership Award Winner, Kaylana, was presented with a scholarship from Bob Grand. The Robert T. Grand Leadership Award recipient is nominated and voted on by the Camp Little Red Door campers each year and awarded to a leadership camper who shows exemplary leadership skills. Please join us in congratulating Kaylana on being the Robert T. Grand Leadership Award Winner for 2026!
