When we say "Futbol4Life," we mean it from the heart! ⚽️💪
This tournament wasn't just an incredible display of talent and passion on the field—the real victory happened off the pitch. Thanks to a valuable collaboration between the HOLA Program and Step-Up, Inc., we successfully executed 78 HIV tests during the event!
Why bring HIV awareness to a sports setting?
Because breaking the stigma requires us to normalize these conversations in the spaces where we already naturally gather. Thanks to the joint effort of the organizers and partners, we were able to provide a safe, exciting, and confidential environment for both players and fans to put their health first.
Education is our best tool. When we understand that modern medical science allows HIV to be treated effectively—and that "Undetectable = Untransmittable"—the fear begins to fade. We aren't just playing for a trophy; we’re playing for a community that is informed, empowered, and healthy.
A huge thank you to all the teams, sponsors, volunteers, and every person who attended and decided to prioritize their well-being this weekend.

Este torneo no solo fue una demostración increíble de talento y pasión en la cancha, sino que la verdadera victoria se logró fuera de ella. Gracias a una valiosa colaboración entre el Programa HOLA y Step-Up, Inc., ¡logramos realizar con éxito 78 pruebas de VIH durante el evento!
¿Por qué llevar la concientización sobre el VIH a un entorno deportivo?
Porque romper el estigma requiere que normalicemos estas conversaciones en los espacios donde ya nos reunimos de manera natural. Gracias al esfuerzo conjunto de los organizadores y aliados, pudimos ofrecer un ambiente seguro, emocionante y confidencial para que tanto los jugadores como la afición pusieran su salud como prioridad.
La educación es nuestra mejor herramienta. Cuando entendemos que la ciencia médica actual permite tratar el VIH de manera efectiva —y que "Indetectable = Intransmisible"— el miedo empieza a desaparecer. No solo jugamos por un trofeo; jugamos por una comunidad informada, empoderada y saludable.
Un agradecimiento enorme a todos los equipos, patrocinadores, voluntarios y a cada persona que asistió y decidió priorizar su bienestar este fin de semana.
