Listen, learn, and act — more than a motto, it is the commitment that has guided HOLA’s work over time. Listening to our community, learning from their experiences, and taking meaningful action to serve them are essential pillars to expanding our reach and addressing the real needs we face.

Today, we proudly recognize a high school student who has chosen to raise her voice and join the cause of HIV and STD prevention, as well as the promotion of healthy relationships among our youth. Her courage reminds us that when we listen to our young people, we also take on a greater responsibility as leaders, parents, guardians, and heads of household: to bring knowledge into our homes, create spaces for open conversations, and become sources of support.

Access to information can save lives. Education strengthens families. And community commitment creates real change.

Thank you, Desiree Rojas, for your leadership, your courage, and for standing up for our youth. Your voice is making a difference.

Escuchar, aprender y actuar — más que un lema, es el compromiso que ha guiado el trabajo de HOLA a lo largo del tiempo. Escuchar a nuestra comunidad, aprender de sus experiencias y actuar con propósito para servirle, son pilares esenciales para lograr un mayor alcance y responder a las verdaderas necesidades que enfrentamos.

Hoy reconocemos con orgullo a una joven de preparatoria que ha decidido alzar la voz y unirse a la causa de la prevención del VIH, las infecciones de transmisión sexual y la promoción de relaciones sanas entre nuestros jóvenes. Su valentía nos recuerda que cuando escuchamos a nuestra juventud, también asumimos una responsabilidad mayor como líderes, padres, tutores y jefes de familia: llevar información a nuestros hogares, abrir espacios de diálogo y convertirnos en recursos de apoyo.

Hoy solo puedo sentir una profunda satisfacción por todo lo que logramos. No fue fácil… hubo retos, subidas y bajadas, pero cada paso valió la pena para construir algo verdaderamente especial.

Cada detalle fue pensado con respeto, intención y amor, con el deseo de crear no solo un evento, sino una experiencia que hiciera sentir orgullo a cada persona presente.

Y lo logramos.

Fue una noche donde el talento, la pasión y la entrega brillaron intensamente, no solo en los participantes, sino en todos los que hicieron esto posible. Más que un evento, fue un punto de partida para seguir uniendo, destacando y elevando nuestra comunidad.

Gracias por ser parte de esta noche inolvidable.

Today, I can only feel a deep sense of pride for everything we accomplished. It wasn’t easy… there were challenges, ups and downs, but every step was worth it to build something truly special.
