The purpose and objectives of the BLACK STAR DEFENSE INDY are:

To educate and train members of the African American community in the safe handling, use, and proper care of fi****ms. To preserve, protect, and defend the Second Amendment rights of members of the African American community with respect to firearm ownership, self-defense, and defense of family. To promote and develop a greater unders

tanding and awareness among the African American community regarding the importance and benefits of firearm ownership and conduct education and policy related to such rights. To introduce African American community members to fi****ms use for self-defense, defense of family, competitive shooting, and outdoor recreational and survival activities. Educate African American community members about local, state, and federal legislation affecting their Second Amendment rights to own and bear fi****ms. To promote and improve marksmanship, defensive shooting, and competitive shooting among African American community members.

What an incredible turnout for our Dynamic Pistol Training this weekend! The Black Star Defense Indy family showed up in force, proving once again that dedication doesn't take a day off.

We spent a little over three hours putting in absolute work out at the outdoor range in Noblesville.

Despite the 80-degree heat beating down, the energy never dipped, and the focus remained razor-sharp from the first buzzer to the last round fired.

This wasn't just a casual day at the range—we pushed our limits and dialed in the fundamentals with some of the most demanding courses of fire:

• Dot Torture: Testing our ultimate discipline, trigger control, and precision under pressure.

• Bill Drills: Dialing in high-speed engagement, tracking the sights, and managing recoil like pros.

• Rifle Transition Drills: Mastering seamless manipulation and fluid movement between platforms.

Signs a handgun is too small include a cramped grip, difficulty reaching the trigger without straining, a tendency for your support hand to interfere with the slide, and increased perceived recoil due to an unstable grip. The ‘meat’ of your thumb joint should not significantly overlap the frame of the handgun.
