Equality Indiana is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with the purpose of securing nondiscrimination, equality, and legal protections for every LGBTQIA+ Hoosier. Equality Indiana mission statement: Our mission is to engage and mobilize LGBTQ Hoosiers and their allies to secure comprehensive and inclusive nondiscrimination, equality, and related legal protections for all LGBTQ Hoosiers through

democratic processes. Our vision is to build coalitions throughout Indiana by collaborating with federal, state, and local partners, public officials, business and religious leaders, and community activists to grow grassroots’ energies and build support for momentum to achieve equality and related protections in every community through local ordinances, state-wide legislation, or through the courts.

Every Hoosier deserves to feel safe in their community, not just during a Pride Festival or during June, the official month of Pride, but safe and welcomed everywhere and every day. Equality Indiana is thrilled to know that organizations like Batesville Area Inclusion & Diversity hosts the Batesville Pride Celebration each year. We will return in 2027 and all Hoosiers are welcome to attend it.
