A discharge date does not mean the need for support has ended.

People living with neurological and mobility challenges often continue working toward movement, strength, and independence long after structured clinical care stops.

identified this gap as the Care Cliff. The Walk Foundation helps address it by supporting access to advanced technology that can allow individuals to continue their journey beyond the clinic.

The need continues. With your help, access can too.

No single organization can solve the challenges of neurological rehabilitation alone.

At The Walk Foundation, collaboration with universities is an important part of how we support research, education, and medical device innovation. Our team works with academic partners, clinicians, engineers, faculty, and students to explore real-world challenges, develop practical solutions, and strengthen the evidence behind emerging rehabilitation technologies.

As our founder, Dr. George Maltezos helps guide these efforts and brings both scientific expertise and lived experience to the work. But this commitment extends across our entire organization as we help connect universities with research opportunities, and projects that can create meaningful patient impact.

We want to grow these partnerships.

We welcome opportunities to collaborate on senior design projects, engineering research, clinical studies, rehabilitation science, data analysis, and medical device development.

Research is crucial—but it requires the right people, resources, and partnerships.

If your university, department, or research team is interested in working with us, we would love to hear from you.

Every person’s mobility journey is different.

For one person, progress may mean standing with greater confidence. For another, it may mean engaging muscles that have been difficult to activate, continuing training at home, or participating more fully in daily life.

What they share is the need for opportunity.

The Walk Foundation helps individuals access advanced rehabilitation and mobility technology that may otherwise remain financially out of reach.

Your donation does not promise an outcome. It gives someone the opportunity to keep working toward one.

Leaving structured care should not mean being left without support.

For many people living with neurological conditions, limb loss, or mobility challenges, the need for continued care remains long after the clinic visit ends. Neuro20 identified this gap as the Care Cliff—the point where structured care stops, but the person’s needs continue.

The Walk Foundation helps bridge that gap by supporting access to advanced rehabilitation technology that can be used beyond the clinic.

Your donation can help someone continue the work they started in care.

Where someone lives should not determine whether they can continue working toward greater mobility and independence.

For many people living with neurological conditions, limb loss, or other mobility challenges, advanced care may be hours away—or unavailable altogether. Even when the right technology exists, access can remain limited by distance, cost, and insurance coverage.

The Walk Foundation helps bring advanced rehabilitation technology closer to the people who need it, including solutions that can support continued care at home.

Your donation can help make progress possible beyond the walls of a clinic.

The impact of this journey will extend far beyond the mountain.

In partnership with K2 Adventure Travel and local partners, The Summit of Human Potential will also support humanitarian outreach designed to help bring prosthetic care, mobility resources, and hope to children in Tanzania.

Our goal is not simply to reach the summit and leave.

We want this expedition to create a lasting legacy—one that expands access, strengthens communities, and reminds children facing mobility challenges that their futures are filled with possibility.

Your support can help turn one extraordinary climb into an impact that continues long after the team returns home.

Behind every meaningful research program is someone asking the right questions.

Our founder, Dr. George Maltezos helps guide our research initiatives with a unique perspective—as both a scientist and an individual living with multiple sclerosis.

His experience reminds us that rehabilitation research is about far more than collecting data. It's about developing technologies that address real challenges, improve everyday function, and create new opportunities for people living with neurological conditions.

Working alongside our research partners, Dr. Maltezos helps ensure that our work remains focused on what matters most: improving lives through evidence-based innovation.

Research has the power to change the future. People like Dr. Maltezos help make sure it changes it for the better.

A breakthrough only changes lives when people can access it.

Innovative rehabilitation technologies are creating new possibilities for individuals living with spinal cord injuries, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, amputations, and other mobility challenges. But too often, the people who could benefit face financial or access barriers.

That is where The Walk Foundation steps in.

We help turn promising technology into real patient opportunity by raising funds, building partnerships, and supporting access to advanced rehabilitation solutions.

Your donation helps move innovation out of the clinic and into the hands of the people who need it.

When progress slows, the problem is not always a lack of determination. Sometimes, it is a lack of access to the right tools and continued support.

developed the Neuro20 PRO System to help extend advanced neuromuscular care beyond the clinic, giving individuals another way to keep working toward movement, strength, and independence.

But for many people, the technology remains financially out of reach.

That is where The Walk Foundation can help. Through donor support, we work to place Neuro20 technology with individuals who may otherwise go without it.

Your donation can help turn stalled progress into a new opportunity to move forward.

Mount Kilimanjaro is one example of what The Walk Foundation can do internationally when people believe in the mission and invest in it.

With greater funding, we can build more global partnerships, support additional mobility and rehabilitation initiatives, expand humanitarian outreach, raise awareness across borders, and help bring innovative technologies and resources to communities that need them.

Our vision is bigger than one expedition.

It is a worldwide movement to expand access, challenge assumptions about disability, and create more opportunities for people living with mobility and neuromuscular challenges.

Your donation helps determine how far this mission can reach.

Help us take The Walk Foundation beyond one mountain—and into more communities around the world.
