Cub Scout Pack 3136 - Independence, Kansas Cub Scout Pack 3136. We are a newer Pack with a bunch of adventures planned. We invite all youth, boys and girls, K-5th grade to come join us.

Scout families had fun Saturday fishing out at State Lake yesterday. We spent some time fishing, caught a couple fish, learned how to prepare and cook a fish, and grilled some hot dogs and hamburgers. The wind was blowing pretty strong, but these Scouts did great learning how to throw out a line and watch their poles.

Building and racing boats! We did our rain gutter regatta this afternoon where Scouts designed, sanded, and assembled their own boats. Then they huffed and puffed them down the water race track.

Some of our Cubs tagged along with siblings of Boy Scout Troop 16 - Independence, KS today for a field trip to Bentonville, Arkansas.
Stops included:
Crystal Bridges Art Museum
Museum of Native American History
And the Wal-Mart Museum with ice cream at the end.

Tonight the Scouts got the chance to practice their leather working skill. 🧵They traced a plate to make the circle pattern of their pouch, cut it out, used markers and a soldering iron to customize it. They punched holes and learned how to lace it up to make it into a drawstring pouch. 🪡 Great job everyone!
