🌟 Adopt a Grandparent & Pamper a Patient 🌟
For 15 years, our Adopt a Grandparent Program has spread holiday cheer to seniors in nursing homes across Southeast Kansas. This year, we’re also launching a brand-new outreach — Pamper a Patient — bringing care packages to local patients undergoing chemotherapy. 💝

✨ Here’s how you can help:
• $20 sponsorship = 2 gifts for nursing home residents
• $20 sponsorship = 1 care package for a chemo patient
• Choose one program…or support both! 🎁

Our goal: 500 gifts sponsored this season 🎄💗

👉 You can sponsor by check (payable to We Care/Adopt a Grandparent or Pamper a Patient) or through our 501(c)(3) partner, the Community Foundation for Independence at cffindy.org/donate (please note “Adopt a Grandparent” in the comments).

2024 Adopt a Grandparent

I want to give a heartfelt thank you to my amazing daughters, Amber Shouse and Tiffany Strickland, as well as Autumn Pearce Dickens, and my wonderful grandkids, Ella, Kamree, Ryker, and Ayden, for helping me spread joy to the seniors of Southeast Kansas. Your love and dedication made this year’s program truly special.

What started 16 years ago as a small effort to bring gifts to residents in 3 nursing homes has grown into something truly incredible. This year, we delivered gifts to almost 600 residents in 17 facilities across SEK, including Independence, Neodesha, Cherryvale, Mound Valley, Parsons, Oswego, Pittsburg, Frontenac, and Saint Paul.

I am beyond grateful for the support of my family and our community, which has made it possible to bring holiday cheer to so many seniors over the years. Together, we are making a difference, one smile at a time!

Thank You for Supporting the 2024 Adopt a Grandparent Program!

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support we received this year. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to deliver almost 600 gifts to 17 facilities across Southeast Kansas, bringing joy and love to so many grandparents in our community.

This program would not be possible without the unwavering kindness and contributions from individuals, businesses, and organizations in our amazing community. You have made a difference in the lives of so many, and we are truly thankful.

🎄 Make a Difference this Holiday Season! 🎄

I'm excited to announce that we are kicking off our annual "We Care/Adopt a Grandparent" program, and we need your help to bring some joy to local senior residents in Southeast Kansas!

For just $15, you can sponsor two residents and provide them with a pampering gift that includes cozy fuzzy socks and the soothing Mint Bliss Energizing Foot Lotion. Our goal is to sponsor at least 500 residents this year, and with your help, we can do it!

How You Can Help: 💌 Sponsor one or more residents with a $15 gift. 💌 Sponsor ten gifts for $150 or more, and get your name or business name printed on the back of our special AGP T-shirt to show your support! 💌 Share this post to help us spread the word!

It’s hard to put into words, the Joy we had delivering gifts over the past two days to Seniors in SEK. It’s not only the gifts that put a smile on their faces. It was our time, hugs, kind words, listening ear, and the children that brought so much joy.

With the help of businesses and individuals in the community we were able to provide gifts to 550 residents and 17 facilities in the SEK area. (Indy, Neodesha, Cherryvale, Mound Valley, Parsons, Oswego, Pittsburg & Frontenac) we covered a lot of miles but it was worth it to spread a little Christmas cheer to those that need it so much.

I am so thankful to everyone that helped with the Adopt a Grandparent program.

Wrapping gifts for the Adopt a Grandparent program.
We are delivering 547 gifts to 18 facilities in SEK. We not only reached our goal of 500 residents, we surpassed it! I want to thank everyone that has supported us over the years. We could not do it without the help from the community.
