CONGRATULATIONS to all of our South Shore Jiu Jitsu kids that competed today at the Brave San Diego V Tournament! 👏🥋

We brought 13 students to compete — and 7 of them stepped on the competition mats for the VERY FIRST TIME!! That kind of courage is HUGE! We couldn’t be more proud of how every athlete represented our team with heart, discipline, and sportsmanship.

does a fantastic job running their kids events. It’s organized, supportive, and a great environment for first-time competitors to gain experience and confidence!

Parents — if your child has been training and you’ve been wondering whether competition is a good next step, this is a great one to consider! Competing builds confidence, focus, resilience, and life skills that go far beyond the mats. And as always, our coaches are there to guide and support them!!

We strongly encourage our South Shore families to consider competing at the next one! Let’s keep helping these kids grow on and off the mats! 💪
