During your Goat Walk, you’ll meet the herd, hear their rescue stories, and see how their grazing helps control invasive plants and trees and supports our habitat restoration and carbon‑smart land care 🌱.

Following the Goat Walk, we'll meet the other Feather Leaf Farm and Nature Center residents including our pigs, chickens, ducks, and turkeys.

With the warmer weather, our sulcata tortoises Cake and Grass have been spending more time outside in their large fenced in area where they graze and bask in the sun. Every now and then, we add some treats for them like apple, watermelon, peppers, squash, and hibiscus flowers. Last week we had a large donation of cactus and they are loving it! Thank you West Suburban Community Pantry for supporting our mission! 🌵

✨Guess who turns 1 today ? ✨ Our sweet girl Pearl was born a year ago on January 13th. A pig like Pearl would usually be used in experiments and then euthanized by a couple months of age. Luckily, some amazing humans were able to save her from this fate and she came to live out her life with us along with her BFF and little sis Ruby (another Yucatan from same lab) and her big bros and sis, Floyd, Gimli and Dot. We feel so lucky to have Pearl in our lives. She is an amazing little creature who spreads joy to whoever meets her. Happy 1st Birthday Pearl! We love you! 🐽♥️
