Back to School season is here!! At Shepherd’s Inn, we walk alongside young parents as they work toward goals like finishing school, finding employment, creating a budget, securing housing, and preparing for their baby.

We believe in supporting the whole family—not just for today, but for the future. 💜

We want to say a big Thank You to Joyce Waetje and her team for transforming our baby furniture room into a happy, cozy and functional space. She even donated some snuggly friends for our babies!

It turned out beautiful and we are so grateful for all the time and work that went into it!

☀️ **Hot Weather Safety for Babies** ☀️

Summer is a wonderful time to get outside, but babies can overheat much faster than adults.

💛 Here are a few ways to keep your little one safe:
• Keep babies under 6 months out of direct sunlight whenever possible.
• Dress them in lightweight, light-colored clothing.
• Use a wide-brimmed hat to protect their face and neck.
• Never leave a baby in a parked vehicle—not even for a minute.
• Offer frequent feedings (breast milk or formula) to help keep babies hydrated.
• Watch for signs of overheating, including flushed skin, unusual fussiness, rapid breathing, or lethargy.

Your baby's safety comes first. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy a safe summer together! 🌞💙

Wishing you a Happy 4th of July! Celebrating 250 years of Independence. Our office will be closed June 30 through July 2. We will resume regular business hours July 7.

Baby Alicia and her mommy came to see us this week. She is almost 3 months now! Both have grown so much during their time in our program ❤
