The horse world is built on more than great horses. It’s built on people.

We all come together because of a shared dream. We breed, raise, train, compete, celebrate the wins, and work through the disappointments. Somewhere along the way, those relationships become friendships, and those friendships become family.

Sometimes, without even realizing it, a simple conversation, a smile, or just being present can mean everything to someone who is carrying more than we know.

Over the past few years, Tish and I had the privilege of getting to know the Warren family beyond the show pen. We shared some of life’s simple moments while they were walking through one of the hardest journeys any family could face alongside their son, Garrett.

No matter how much we all hoped and prayed for a different outcome, Garrett’s fight has come to an end.

Life isn’t always fair. But some people leave this world having made it better simply because they were here. Garrett was one of those people. His strength, his outlook, and the way he embraced every opportunity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. In a relatively short time, he left a lasting impression on our lives.

Garrett, thank you for your friendship. We were always rooting for you, and today we share in the tremendous loss your family is feeling.

To the Warren family, our hearts are with you. Garrett’s legacy doesn’t end here. The dreams he shared with you, the passion he had for life, and the love your family carries forward will continue to inspire everyone fortunate enough to know his story.

He will always be remembered. 🏅

There is a GoFundMe page started to raise funds for Garrett Warren to help pay for some extensive cancer treatments. GWRHA is currently working on a benefit raffle to help as well. Hope to have that out in the next few days. Your support and prayers for Garrett is greatly appreciated.
