Happy Friday, everyone!

Next week we'll be hearing from SGT. Dan Sperry, who oversees the DARE programs for the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho.

Sgt. Sperry served for more than a decade on the Bonneville County SWAT Team’s Crisis/Hostage Negotiation Team, eventually becoming the team lead. Throughout his career, he has received numerous Lifesaving Medals and a Medal of Valor and has been recognized as Officer/Deputy of the Year on several occasions. In 2017, he was honored in Washington, D.C., as the National School Resource Officer of the Year.

Sgt. Sperry has also been instrumental in efforts to improve school bus safety, contributing to the passage of school bus safety legislation in both Wyoming and Idaho. He has trained law enforcement officers throughout the United States and has provided training to more than 10,000 education professionals across the United States and Canada.

The Exchange Club of Idaho Falls devotes its efforts to many community service projects every year. The Club continuously focuses its efforts on Americanism (helping local veterans organizations), Child Abuse Prevention, Community Service, and Youth Programs.

Let's give it up for our most recent Exchange Lunch speaker, Mark Wilson! 👏👏👏

Mark Wilson is President of the Bonneville County Fair Board and a longtime Bonneville County resident with deep roots in agriculture, horses, youth programs, and community service.

Mark believes the fairgrounds should remain firmly rooted in agriculture and youth while also becoming a place where the entire community can gather, participate, and belong.

This past Tuesday, we had the honor of listening to guest speakers Levi Shaffer and Colonel Orren Squires from Divers with Valor.

Divers with Valor is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Veterans, Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement, and First Responders, helping them build strong relationships through shared underwater experiences.
