Last week we were able to hear from several students from both Haworth and Idabel.

Haworth seniors Alyssa Long and Da’Monica Baker spoke about LEDCON (a Key Club regional meeting). Both girls thanked Idabel Kiwanis for their support throughout the school year, especially with the $100 we gave them for food. They both attended several workshops; one which was about preparing for college was especially helpful. Both girls are attending colleges which do not have a CKI (Circle K International, a collegiate Kiwanis organization); they both are exploring ways to start a club at their perspective universities.

Clay Loard, from Idabel High School, talked about being elected as Lt. Governor for our Key Club district. He is looking forward about all the meetings this summer and into next school year with Key Club Students from across the district. He also accepted a check for the Idabel Key Club’s end of year trip next week. We are proud to help cover the cost of their Top Golf trip as a big THANK YOU for their help with ham day in December!
