Strategic Fathering

Strategic Fathering Strategic Fathering Ministries is dedicated to encourage men to be stronger fathers, brothers and son It's simply time…time to point the way back to the Father.

The vision is about discovering, perhaps for the first time, just how much the Heavenly Father loves you. It's hoping you realize the high value He has placed on you. He calls your name to encourage you with that, He calls to rock your world conveying the fact that you matter to Him. When every part of your life, as a son, as a father, and as a brother is soaked with that knowledge, you cannot sta

y the same. What I'm passionate about is "Fathering", a call I believe that every man is meant to follow, whether he has biological children or not. This is a call that goes beyond biological and generational boundaries; it is a focused, purposeful call to demonstrate the Father's love. This is a call of releasing and a visionary expression of His own heart. It's not just about raising children but lifting the eyes of sons and daughters to see all God has for them. Time to be ALL God wants us to be as men. There are sons and daughters dying for fathers (both natural and spiritual) to be like Jehovah Nissi and champion their cause. I believe hearts are ready to turn if the Church will answer the call and love completely like the Father…its time.

"Those in-between moments... don't rush through them, God is speaking there. If you don't take the time to totally immerse yourself in the now moments of God, you may just miss what He has for you to learn and carry into the next season of your life." - JC

Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. Psalm 33:20-22

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? MICAH 6:8

"Do justly (do what is right), love mercy (show compassion) and walk humbly (not worrying about me). Are these the weapons of a warrior? Yeah, I think they are, because God calls them good and He requires them of His sons." - JC

ManUp announcement

After 14 years on the Sound of Life Radio Network, my short feature program, ManUp Moment, has ended. With a new station manager and program director stepping in, the network is shifting its programming lineup and discontinuing its short features. While transitions can sting a bit, I am deeply grateful for the years I spent serving on their board and providing content for their listeners. It’s been an incredible ride.

But this isn’t an ending; it’s a pivot.

For over a decade, I’ve kept these messages boxed into a one-to two-minute format. Now, no more guardrails! Because I’ve been repurposing this material into our own podcast feed, we are now dropping the constraints, moving past the one-minute limit, and relaunching into something brand new, deeper, and unfiltered.

New theme music (thanks to Paul Grimsland) and a longer format.

Want to know how it all began? Take a walk down memory lane and listen to the very first episode that kicked off this entire journey right here:

Strap in, because the next phase of the ManUp Moments Podcast is about to begin. Stay tuned!

"Holiness is about connecting to God’s heart. Holiness, being morally blameless, physically pure, and set apart for Him alone… is a life of worship. Living a life of purity is about who we give ourselves to." - JC

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1

If we are being set free, if our voices are being set free, if our heart is uncaged and ready for freedom…where that lead us? It leads us to Jesus, the source of all freedom. " - JC

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

There’s that old saying… “guilty by association”. This means that you personally didn't really do something wrong but that people who you are associated with did. You are judged by the company you keep, so you can be viewed as guilty because of your association with shady characters.

With Christ, in Christ, because of Christ… we are NOT guilty by association… we are judged clean, blameless by the company we keep! We are positionally and relationally holy because of Jesus.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” 1 Peter 2:9

This is the nature of God—to be intimate with His kids—on a first name basis with all of us. Drawing us to Him, calling our name, grafting us into the family tree and declaring universally, “you are mine”. As we walk in relationship with Him, He rubs off on us and our desire for living like our Daddy becomes alive and passionate. The focus changes from “what must I do to be good?” to “how can I be more like my Father?” - JC

But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, "Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

"God’s adoption of us is a rescue of every creative part of our soul. It liberates the stagnant, lifeless core of our heart and frees it to not only experience life, but to express it as well. It’s not about the gifts or talents, it’s about love… we share abundant life because we love Him."
-JC

“For you have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba, Father!” Romans 8:15

"Can I encourage you today with the truth that Jesus wants to impart joy, His joy into us. Watch for those moments, you know the ones, the ones that wake you up and surprise you… and remind you who you belong to. When it comes, drink it in, swallow each mouthful, swim in the moment that the Father showers you with." - Jay Cookingham

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
