September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and this month marks 32 months without you.

We were forced into a world we never knew existed, but you fought so hard until the very end.

You endured multiple hospitalizations, a biopsy, a shunt, 2 rounds of radiation, steroids, clinical trials, countless medicines, PT/OT, endless MRIs, constant EKGs, and more pokes than anyone should ever face.

Yet through it all, you still went to school, built your shop, and continued being a sister, a daughter, and simply Leah.

You never allowed cancer to define you, and neither did I. You were so much more than cancer so much more than DIPG.

You are the strongest person I have ever known. I will continue sharing your story and saying your name because you deserve to be remember for who you are, not just what you endured.

Things have been quiet lately because there’s no guide for navigating life after 32 months, let alone forever. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting us since day one and as we continue finding our way.

Today is DIPG Awareness Day, and in memory of Leah, we are rolling out a new program to support the children on the oncology floor at Children’s Hospital. Whether they are currently in treatment, finishing treatment, inpatient, or coming in for appointments, we hope to bring smiles to these little warriors through candy, toys, books, and small gifts.

We have added a link for anyone who would like to help us stock “Leah’s Lemon-Aid Cart.” We truly appreciate everyone who has supported us from the moment Leah was diagnosed until now. Ache after ache. Another milestone that Leah is not a part of. Oh, how much you would have accomplished at 16—honor roll student, learner’s permit, first job, your shop, and so much more. I’m left with this ache that only grows heavier, but despite it all, I will always celebrate you. Not a day goes by that we don’t miss you and wish you were here with us. For now, I hope we continue to make you proud—especially your little sister as she blows out the candles for you. Happy 16th heavenly birthday to my best friend and my first true love, Leah. Forever and always. 💔🕊️

This type of anniversary should never exist, especially for a child. While life continues to move forward, our lives will never be the same without Leah. Today marks two years without her, and I still struggle to understand why this happened—especially to her. She deserves to be here for every birthday and every accomplishment, but instead I’m left finding ways to keep honoring her and her beautiful life. I never knew such heartache until I lost her. The grief only grows because our love is so deep; we simply learn how to let it blend into our lives. Not a day goes by that we don’t miss her and love her beyond words. We will continue to keep her legacy alive—forever and always. 🤍

Our second Christmas without Lee doesn’t look the same, but we still managed to make it special for Annia. I know she would be proud of us for finding the strength to keep moving forward and making things happen.

We are deeply thankful for our community and all the support we’ve received from the moment Leah was diagnosed and throughout this journey. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and happy holidays. 🎄🕊️❤️‍🩹

Today marks 23 months without our sweet girl, Leah. In her honor, and to keep her legacy alive, we were able to collect over 200 Lego sets thanks to our wonderful community. We visited Children’s and handed out stockings filled with goodies, helped the kids pick out their Legos, and gave them the opportunity to take pictures with Santa—surrounded by beautiful decorations. We also made a home delivery to sweet Bella, who is battling DIPG, and gifted her one of Leah’s bracelets and Legos.

With her favorite holiday approaching, we wanted to bring some light and joy to those walking the same steps we once did. I know our girl is truly happy that we’re doing this on her behalf.

As this month comes to an end, childhood cancer does not. We will continue to raise awareness, shine a light on those battling, and support their families.

We’re excited to announce our second Christmas Toy Drive, which will also give families the opportunity to meet and greet Santa. Last year, this event meant so much to the families, and we’re committed to making it happen again.

For Brain Tumor Awareness Month, we finally delivered a total of 440 toys. While it was incredibly exciting, it also brought up a lot of emotions. We returned to two places that Leah deeply dreaded during her battle with DIPG. Going back is never easy—the painful memories tied to those visits are still very real. But being there again reminded me why I started this journey: to raise awareness and to be the person I once needed during Leah’s fight.

Now, as a grieving parent and founder of this organization, I’m working to turn that pain into purpose—bringing joy to children who find themselves in those same difficult places.

So many smiles, so much laughter, and heartfelt hugs and tears were shared because of your generosity. Thank you to everyone who supported our second toy drive and helped make this possible for these brave warriors. A special shoutout to for always opening their doors for us to make this happen 💛🎗️
