This past Friday we celebrated the Air Force’s 79th birthday!

There was great food and home-brewed b**r; a collage slideshow of the 79 years of Air Force history created by Lt Col (Ret) Zyg Jastrebski; a USAF history trivia contest created and led by former Chapter President Lt Col (Ret) John Pennell; and a wh***ey toast provided gratis by Community Partner STA. As is tradition, the cake was cut by the senior officer present, Brigadier General (Ret) Gary Conor; the person who entered the Air Force at the earliest date, Lt Col (Ret) Daryl Carpenter (1962); and the person who entered the Air Force most recently, MSgt Brenton Knox (2011). After much good old Air Force camaraderie, the evening ended with everyone standing and singing a rousing version of the Air Force song!!
