Taking care of your mental health should always be a priority especially when dealing with the aftermath of abuse such as SA, DV or HT.

Mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, act, make choices, and relate to others.

One of the biggest mistakes I made after getting r***d for the first time when I was a teen was not getting help by staying silent. I honestly dont know if I stayed silent bc I was groomed or bc of the truama at home during this time frame. Reguardless... I should have spoke up! There is no telling how much help therapy would have been during this extremely difficult time in my life. Probably would have helped prevent a lot of wilding out including drug use and fighting. Taking care of your mental health is detrimental after any traumatic event including r**e!!!
