💙 June is Men's Mental Health Month, and we want to send some love to the men in our lives.
As a feminist organization, we believe in a world where everyone can bring their full humanity forward - where kindness, vulnerability, and emotional well-being are valued for every gender.

To the fathers, sons, brothers, partners, friends, coworkers, and community members who show up every day carrying responsibilities, supporting others, and doing their best through challenges that often go unseen.....WE SEE YOU, AND WE APPRECIATE YOU.

Many men are taught from a young age to "be strong" no matter what, to push through and "man up", and to keep their struggles to themselves because talking about them makes them "weak".
But everyone deserves care, support, and the freedom to be honest about how and what they're feeling.

If you're carrying something heavy right now, you don't have to carry it alone. If you're struggling, you deserve compassion. If you're hurting, you deserve support.

This month, and every month, we're grateful for the men who enrich our lives, and we're reminding them of something important: Your mental health matters, and the strongest thing you can do is ask for help when you need it most. 💙

“On fields where quiet shadows fall,
We speak their names, remembering all.
No greater love, no deeper claim—
A nation’s heart within each name.”

McHenry County NOW would like to extend our most sincere thanks to all who have served.

As women, misogyny is so ingrained in us, it feeds our fierce competition & unwillingness to work on our relationships with one another. 💔
We need to break this toxic cycle!
We need to uplift & empower one another - because together we are unstoppable (and they know that).

"Breaking up with Women"

🌹 SHE MADE HISTORY FOR ALL OF US.
Yesterday at Churchill Downs, Cherie DeVaux didn't just win the Kentucky Derby, she shattered a 152-year-old barrier, becoming the FIRST WOMAN TRAINER EVER to win the most famous horse race in the world. 🏆🐎

Her horse, Golden Tempo, surged from dead last all the way to the wire to win at 23-1 odds.
When asked what this historic moment means to her, she said it perfectly:
"I honestly don't know. I'm just, I'm glad that I could be a representative of all women everywhere, that we can do anything we set our minds to." 💬💜

To every woman grinding in a male-dominated field, to every little girl who's been told the odds are against her, look at Cherie DeVaux!

The glass ceiling is broken. 💪🏼
Congratulations, Cherie.
We see you, we celebrate you, we ARE you.

👧✨ What we show our children shapes the world they believe is possible.

When a little girl sees a woman in the cockpit of a plane, she thinks: "I could fly one day."
When she sees a female surgeon, she thinks: "I could save lives."
When she watches a woman run into a burning building, she thinks: "I could be that brave."

Representation isn't just feel-good, it's foundational. Children absorb what they see around them, and when we intentionally show them women as pilots, firefighters, engineers, CEOs, scientists, and soldiers, we expand what they believe is achievable for girls AND boys.

Let's raise a generation that never once questions whether a dream is "for them" based on gender.
