Camp Good Mourning! was created to fill the gaps in bereavement services for Long Island children coping with the loss of a loved one -- parent, caregiver, and/or sibling

Camp Good Mourning! IS THE ONLY LONG ISLAND OVERNIGHT BEREAVEMENT CAMP THAT:
- serves children between the ages of 7 and 17
- provides camp services in the Spring and Fall
- offers 2 camp programs per year
- supports surviving caregivers during and after camp

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Brooks’ Mission for their incredibly generous donation to Camp Good Mourning! 🧡💛❤️

Brooks’ Mission was created by Bryan and Leigh Griffin in loving memory of their son, Brooks David Griffin — “Brooksy” — who died from SIDS at just 103 days old. Today, his memory lives on through their support of families coping with the death of a child.

Our connection is especially meaningful because Brooks’ big brother, Landon, attended Camp Good Mourning! Since then, Brooks’ Mission has continued to show up for our campers with incredible generosity, kindness, and friendship.

We are so grateful for this special relationship and, most of all, for the many ways Brooks’ Mission continues to be there for our kids.

Because no child should grieve alone. 🧡💛❤️
