When SNAP participation declines, families lose access to food, communities lose federal dollars, and local economies suffer. Congress can take action to reverse the harm and strengthen SNAP.

Take a look at FRAC’s SNAP Participation Tracker to monitor ongoing impacts in real time:

During the 2025–2026 school year, a record 55,362 schools offered breakfast and lunch to all their students through CEP.

Behind every successful healthcare enrollment is a dedicated person helping make sense of the process.

Our Healthcare Facilitated Enrollment team works one-on-one with community members to answer questions, navigate coverage options, and provide support every step of the way. Today we’re celebrating Laura for the care and commitment she brings to that work, and the difference it makes for the people we serve.

We’re grateful for our team of knowledgeable and compassionate facilitators who help turn a complicated process into one that feels a little more manageable.

Rising health care costs continue to have a significant impact on Long Islanders, making conversations around affordability and access more important than ever.

Thank you to Congresswoman Laura Gillen for bringing together health care leaders and community partners for an important roundtable discussion on the challenges facing patients and providers across Long Island.

Our President and CEO, Vanessa Baird-Streeter, and HWCLI Board Member, David Nemiroff, CEO of Harmony Healthcare Long Island, were happy to participate in this meaningful conversation alongside health care and community leaders. Discussions like these are critical to identifying solutions and advancing a health care system that is affordable, accessible, and responsive to the needs of our communities.

We look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with our partners and elected officials to strengthen health care access for all Long Islanders.
