You can live or work in Huntington Beach for years and still only see a small piece of how the city actually works. RMLA gives you the opportunity to step inside the organizations, industries and public institutions shaping our community, meet the people leading them, and better understand how decisions are made.

Over nine months, the Class of 2027 will explore local government, public safety, healthcare, education, environmental services, business and culture while building real relationships across sectors. Participants will also work together on a community project designed to leave a meaningful impact long after graduation.

This program is for people who are curious, invested in Huntington Beach and ready to become more informed, connected and effective in the way they lead and serve.

The Robert Mayer Leadership Academy has introduced hundreds of Huntington Beach professionals to the people, organizations, and issues shaping our city. Along the way, they’ve built friendships, expanded their networks, discovered new ways to serve, and found themselves stepping into leadership roles they never expected.

Over the past nine months, these professionals have explored Huntington Beach’s local government, public safety, education, and business landscape—gaining tools in leadership, collaboration, and community impact.
