Come celebrate q***r and trans joy at the beach with Q***r Outdoor Adventures! Join us for a relaxing and fun day of swimming, connecting with local LGBTQIA+ community, playing games, and boating. Let's take up space and enjoy some fun in the sun!

📅 Date: Saturday, July 18th, 2026 (rain date: Sunday, July 19th, 2026)

⏰ Time: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

📍 Location: West Beach, Lake Taghkanic State Park: 1528 Route 82, Ancram, NY

💸 Cost: $10 NYS park entry fee

🚗 Parking: Parking available on-site

📌 Meeting Point: On the beach — look for the big rainbow umbrella

👥 This is an all-ages event — kids, teens, adults, seniors, and families are all welcome!

🍸 This is a sober-friendly event — no substances or alcohol allowed.

🐕 Unfortunately, this NYS park prohibits dogs on the beach — please leave your fur babies at home.

🏖️ What to Bring:
-Sunscreen and other sun protection
-Your bathing suit and a change of clothes
-A beach towel, chairs, umbrella, or whatever you need to have a relaxing day at the beach
-Outdoor games or fun stuff – frisbees, balls, cards, guitar, speaker, etc.
-Cash for the entry fee and other payment methods if you wish to grab food or drinks at the concession area, or for the boat rentals
-Food and drinks to enjoy

🎲 What we’ll provide:
-Some games and activities
-Good vibes and great company
-Q***r and trans joy
-Water in a cooler

This year we're celebrating pride with our Annual Pride Picnic! Come hang out with us for a laid-back afternoon by the river celebrating Pride, q***r joy, and community. This is an all-ages, sober-friendly picnic where you can relax, meet new people, play games, share food, and just enjoy being together outside.

📅 Date: Saturday, June 6th, 2026
⏰ Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
📍 Location: Long Dock Park: 23 Long Dock Road Beacon, NY 12508
💸 Cost: Free
🚗 Parking: Free parking available on-site

👥 This is an all-ages event—kids, teens, adults, seniors, and families are all welcome!
🍸 This is a sober-friendly event—no substances or alcohol allowed.
🐕 Fur babies are welcome!

🥪What to Bring:
-Your own food! We'll have a few small items to share (such as a bean salad), but please bring whatever you'd like to eat for the picnic lunch.
-Water – stay hydrated!
-Blankets to sit or lay on, or folding chairs if you prefer (in case the tables are full)
-Sun protection – sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, umbrella, etc.
-Bug spray – it’s a riverside park, so come prepared
-Outdoor games or fun stuff – frisbees, balls, cards, guitar, speaker, etc.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Q***r Skate Night at ! 🛼 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍🌈
Folks did a lot of skating, but we also did a lot of crafting. 🎨🖍️
We wrote letters to our future selves, wrote some things down to release in 2026, and made vision boards. I can't wait to open the letters in January 2027! 💌
We also played some fun arcade games, ate yummy snacks, and goofed around. It was a really sweet and intimate night of q***r community. 💖
Thank you to the new faces, and the folks who consistently show up to our events. We couldn't be more grateful for this little family we have built! 🫂
It was lovely to have one last hang before we all got snowed in today! ❄️

We are planning for 2026 and expanding our reach! We have released a new survey in our linktree: “New Year, New Q***r.” Please take the time to fill out the survey as it will help us launch this next exciting chapter of LGBTQIA+ offerings! If you are new here, WELCOME 😊! We are excited to continue offering y’all intersectional q***r, trans, and POC centered programming, events, and trips. You asked for it, we delivered! Announcing the 3rd Q***r Skate Night in partnership with Skate Time! Come roll into the new year and enjoy a night of fun, crafts, community, and great vibes.
DJ Julie will be playing q***r hits all night, and there will be an arcade, a concession stand, and a private room for QOA. We’ll be celebrating the new year together by writing letters to our future selves and creating vision boards to manifest what’s ahead! ✨

💸 Cost: $6–12 admission and $4–$7 skating equipment rentals

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing Sunday's Community Harvest Feast was. Thank you to everyone who helped in the kitchen, brought food, helped clean-up, and curated good vibes in the space. It was such a moving demonstration of community and chosen family. Watching the way we all learned to function with each other towards a shared goal was so powerful! Thank you to for hosting us and bringing the warm and inviting energy. This was a beautiful intersectional space of q***r joy, laughter, love, and warmth yesterday. I am truly grateful beyond words.
We are so grateful to be a part of your chosen family, and we hope to see you all at our other events!

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude for the moments we get to share with you all.
Creating intersectional and intergenerational spaces to connect, celebrate, and share joy is foundational in sustaining our energy.
These events wouldn't be possible without YOU. This community exists because you all show up and make it possible to continue!
Now more than ever, we need each other to prevail.
