If Albany Medical System has money to invest in live concerts, they have money to invest in health care access for Greene and Columbia County with a collective population of 110,000. Period.

On August 4th, CMH Emergency Room nurse, Sara Dragula interviewed with a local radio show for the Tuesday Afternoon Show with Pastor Kim at 4 pm.m to discuss the downsizing of CMH to a critical access hospital.

Many CMH employees have worked at CMH for years. Some have worked at CMH for decades. Kristen is a transporter who is always kind and has been at CMH for 18 years. Her mom, Lisa has been there for 19 years and works in the OR. They both want to see CMH invested in, NOT downsized.

Karin-Renee has been a nurse at CMH for over 30 years! She wants to see her hospital invested in, not downsized to a critical access hospital. We are asking AMC to be a good partner and invest in health care access in Columbia and Greene County, not turn us into a transfer and referral satellite site.

Thank you Karin-Renee, a CMH nurse for 30 years, for speaking up for your hospital! It is so scary that your friend had to be transferred from CMH ED to an ED in Westchester County, a two hour drive away, because there was not any other Emergency Departments closer who could accept them. We need more health care resources, NOT less.
