Our team is currently conducting reconnaissance on the objective, confirming the route, evaluating the terrain, and preparing every detail for our next Oscar Mike Ruckers mission.

September 11, 2001, changed the course of our nation—and it changed the course of my life.

Like so many Americans, I watched the attacks unfold with disbelief, heartbreak, and anger. I saw ordinary people become extraordinary heroes. Firefighters climbed the towers while others were trying to get out. Police officers, EMS personnel, and countless civilians put the lives of others before their own. Their courage and selflessness left a lasting impression on me.

They are the reason I joined the United States Marine Corps.

I wanted to serve something greater than myself. I wanted to stand beside those who answered the call without hesitation. The events of 9/11 gave me a sense of purpose and ultimately led me to earn the title of United States Marine.

Today, as a Marine Corps veteran and the Founder and President of Oscar Mike Ruckers, that purpose continues. That’s why I’m participating in the Travis Manion Foundation 9/11 Heroes Ruck.

This ruck isn’t about how far I can walk or how much weight I can carry. It’s about honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice, remembering the families who continue to carry that weight every day, and ensuring that the heroes of September 11 are never forgotten.

Every pound in my ruck represents sacrifice. Every step is taken with gratitude. Every mile is a reminder that freedom has never been free.

Oscar Mike means “On the Move,” and that’s exactly what we intend to do—keep moving forward while carrying the stories of those who can no longer walk beside us.

I ruck because I remember.

I ruck because their sacrifice shaped the person I became.

And I’ll continue to carry their legacy—one step at a time.

On September 5, I’ll lace up my boots, shoulder my ruck, and walk with purpose—because every step has a name, and every mile honors a hero.

Today may have been one of our smaller events, but it proved something we’ve believed from day one…

You don’t need a huge crowd to make a huge impact.

The energy, camaraderie, and purpose everyone brought to the America 250 Freedom Ruck at Minute Man National Historical Park made today something special. Together, we walked the same historic ground where ordinary people stood for something greater than themselves over 250 years ago.

Because of your support, we raised $1,200 for the Oscar Mike Ruckers mission. Even better, 25% of today’s proceeds will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, helping continue their incredible work supporting our nation’s military members, first responders, and their families.

To everyone who registered, rucked, volunteered, donated, or cheered us on—thank you. You are helping us honor those who serve, remember those we’ve lost, and support those who continue to carry the weight.

This is only the beginning.

Join Oscar Mike Ruckers as we step onto the historic Battle Road Trail at Minute Man National Historical Park and walk the same ground where Colonial Militia stood their ground over 250 years ago.
This isn't just another hike—it's an opportunity to honor those who fought for our nation's freedom while supporting the heroes who continue to serve today.
🥾 Whether you're a seasoned rucker or it's your first event, everyone is welcome. Bring your family, your friends, your American pride, and your willingness to carry the weight.
