It's known as Brain Injury Masking, but for the Epilepsy community, it’s a daily reality.

We hide our confusion, symptoms, and power through pain to appear "normal." Whether you’re recovering from a seizure, dealing with the side effects of your medication, or managing brain fog, your struggle is valid.

Let's make it okay to say, "I need rest," without having to apologise. Your honesty is more important than acting fine.

Don’t forget to register for the Play with Purpose open gym THIS Friday from 5/6 and 7/8!!! We will be at BOTH open gyms! All are welcome! Come support Palmers amazing gym and have an awesome time. Half the proceeds will go to purple for Palmer!! 💜💜💜🤸

💜 PLAY WITH PURPOSE – Supporting Purple for Palmer 💜
We are so excited to announce that our very first Play With Purpose Open Gym will be dedicated to Purple for Palmer.
Palmer and her sister have been part of our program since they were just learning to walk, and watching them grow, laugh, learn, and tumble through the years has been a great joy for all of us here at OGI. 💕
Palmer lives with epilepsy, and her family has created Purple for Palmer is a local non-profit whose goal is to raise awareness, fundraise, and make a difference in the lives of those affected by epilepsy. Palmer was diagnosed at 10 months old with epilepsy due to a rare gene mutation of ARFGEF1. With November being Epilepsy Awareness Month, we couldn’t think of a more meaningful way to kick off this new giveback series.

📅 Friday, November 21

💜 Half of all proceeds from every open gym that night will be donated directly to Palmer’s cause.

P4P donated to Parker’s Promise so that may get toys at Akron Children’s. Another example how your donations have helped our epilepsy children!!! Keep spreading awareness! Keep donating!!!! And THANK YOU!

Our first week has been incredible!! Thank you to all those who have donated. We truly appreciate your support. We are in our final week of preparation for our sales at our elementary and middle schools. We will be finishing up our necklaces and keychains, and copying order forms to distribute. Prospect and GIS families be on the lookout for order forms to come home by the end of the week. 💜
