Bravo to Cromaine Library trustees đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź
Hartland’s Cromaine Public Library Trustees cancelled the library’s membership with the American Library Association (ALA). Using recommendations from the ALA, librarians had ordered materials for years that favored overt sexuality for the children’s and youth departments. Given that former ALA President Emily Drabinski is a self-identified “Marxist lesbian” and that a strong focus of the ALA’s website is activism, it seems the trustees made a decision that reflects the values of the Hartland community—not out-of-town instigators.
