"The Body of Christ and the Public Square" event at Our Savior today was packed! Well known speakers brought in attendees young & old and near & far. It was also nice to see some of our elected officials including Jason Woolford - State Representative. Lastly, Hartland School and Cromaine Library candidates (Lou Ann Lathrop, Becky Basley, Jeannine Gogoleski, Dawn Smith) filled the hallways with their presence. All in all it was a great day in Hartland!

Great objectives‼️👇

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙: 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙫𝙚-𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣

In 2025, more than 800 students, parents, staff, and community members gave input on the future of Hartland Consolidated Schools. In July 2025 the board unanimously approved the first steps of a 2025-2030 Strategic Plan including vision, mission, beliefs and goal statements. Missing were the specific measurable goal objectives that would actually lay out the work ahead.

In September 2025 the board voted 4-3 to approve Goal Objectives for the 2025-26 school year ONLY. I voted NO because a five-year plan needs more than one year of goals.

That year is long over. The Superintendent posted a status update in June, but the board has not publicly reviewed the results or set Goal Objectives for the years ahead. Today the Hartland Schools Five-Year Strategic Plan still has only year-one Goal Objectives.

This is fixable, and the timing is right. The community input is in and the first steps are approved. Our Superintendent leaves at the end of 2026 and the next Superintendent deserves clear, long-term direction from the Board of Education.

Here is my commitment. In 2027 I will fight to:

✅ Review the 2025-26 results in public
✅ Set specific, measurable Goal Objectives through 2030, with measurables, deadlines and ownership
✅ Report progress publicly, with an update every year

Hartland families put real work into this plan. I will fight to finish it in 2027.
