HAMILTON FIRE UPDATE: FRIDAY 7/17 @ 3:44 pm

The Hamilton Fire (in Kerr Gulch) is now 100% CONTAINED!! 👏
Thank you to all of our volunteer firefighters that acted so quickly last night to locate the fire and get the suppression effort started! Thank you to the firefighters at USFS for getting this thing under 100% containment so quickly, and thank you to all of you for supporting HVFD during this incident. Have a Pleasant Valley weekend everyone 🙂

The Hamilton Fire (in Kerr Gulch) is now 100% CONTAINED!! 👏
Thank you to all of our volunteer firefighters that acted so quickly last night to locate the fire and get the suppression effort started! Thank you to the firefighters at USFS for getting this thing contained so quickly, and thank you to all of you for supporting HVFD during this incident. Have a Pleasant Valley weekend!

ATTENTION: We are currently responding to the report of the smoke up Kerr Gulch. We will give updates as soon as we can. Thank you.

UPDATE: 10:44 PM
A small fire (25’ x 40’) has been located up Kerr Gulch below the rainbow trail, believed to be started by lightning. It is located on USFS land, therefore, they will be taking control of and monitoring this fire. At this time, there is no threat to the residents of Howard or surrounding areas. We will keep you updated as we receive information from USFS. Thank you.
