🚀 Artemis II — America Returns to the Moon 🌕

Today, NASA launches Artemis II, the first crewed mission in over 50 years to journey back toward the Moon. This isn’t just a flight… it’s a statement that exploration is alive, well, and aiming higher than ever.

Meet the Artemis II Crew:
• Reid Wiseman – Commander
• Victor Glover – Pilot
• Christina Koch – Mission Specialist
• Jeremy Hansen – Mission Specialist

These four will travel aboard the Orion spacecraft, looping around the Moon and back to Earth, paving the way for future lunar landings under the Artemis program.

As they lift off today, we ask our entire Honor Network family to take a moment and cover this crew in prayer. Their courage carries all of us a little further into the future.

Our organization has been honored to share a meaningful relationship with NASA since the final launch of the Space Shuttle, STS-135 Atlantis. That moment connected the United States Honor Flag to a legacy of exploration that literally left this planet.

From that final shuttle flight… to today’s return to deep space… we remain incredibly grateful for that partnership and the opportunity to stand alongside those who push the boundaries of what’s possible.

To the Artemis II crew:
You carry the spirit of a nation with you.

We are praying for your safety, your mission, and your successful return home.

Godspeed. 🇺🇸

There are moments like this… where things are quiet.

No sirens. No processions. No flags being carried.

We’re grateful for that.

But those who have walked this road know…
this is often the calm before the storm.

When that call comes in, there is no time to prepare.
No time to fundraise.
No time to hesitate.

We go.

The United States Honor Flag deploys immediately to stand beside families, departments, and communities on their hardest days. That level of readiness only exists if we are prepared before the call comes.

Here’s the honest reality…

For much of 2025 and now into 2026, members of our board have personally funded the movement of the United States Honor Flag whenever the mission, logistics, and opportunity presented itself.

That is not sustainable.

We take extensive cost-cutting measures on every mission. HonorONE is a fully self-contained unit, allowing us to eliminate hotel stays, reduce meal costs, and stay mission-ready at all times. Truth be told… it’s often a peanut butter and jelly budget out there.

But even with all of that, fuel has become one of our greatest expenses. Moving a 38-foot rolling tribute across the country isn’t exactly sipping fuel… and that’s where we need help right now.

If this mission has ever meant something to you… if you believe these families should never stand alone… now is the time to step in and stand with us.

No donation is too small or too great… and the appreciation behind every single one is truly priceless.

We’ve placed the donation link in the comments (not here in the post) because Facebook limits how many people see posts with links. This helps more people see the message.

If you’re able, please consider supporting today.

And just as important… please take a moment to like, follow, and share this post. That simple action helps this mission reach more people than you might realize.

Honor. Educate. Inspire.

🇺🇸 THE FLAG IS RETURNING TO FAMILY. 🇺🇸

Not because Florida is where it began…
But because, over time…

Florida became part of its story.
Part of its burden.
Part of its heart
Tonight, the United States Honor Flag is once again being rerouted back to Florida.

Not by coincidence.
Not by convenience.

But because duty called…
and Florida answered.

With direct coordination from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, and in partnership with the Florida Highway Patrol, the flag is now moving with purpose to honor
Deputy Sheriff Steven Bruner,
who tragically passed after serving his community during emergency operations.

A life of service.
A line crossed in sacrifice.
A name that will not be forgotten.

Over the past twenty years…
this flag has returned to Florida again… and again… and again.

In just the last six months alone,
it has stood in Florida more than half a dozen times,
honoring fallen law enforcement professionals.

That’s not coincidence.

That’s connection.

Florida is not where the flag lives.

But make no mistake…
Florida is where the flag belongs when it matters most.

There is history here. Real history.

One of our founding members,
Robert “Bobby” Parker,
helped shape this mission… and is now honored in memory.

That foundation continues today through:
Alvaro Zabaleta — a founding voice still standing with this mission

And carried forward by leadership on our Board of Directors:
Ryan Martina
Robbie Valenzuela

With our Advisory Board led by:
Ray Wigfall,
Chairman, United States Honor Flag Advisory Board

And for me… this is personal.

Florida isn’t just a place.

It’s where my father rests.
It’s where my mother rests.

It’s where my family’s legacy stands
at the American Legion Heisler-Johnson Post 119.

1 1 9

Three numbers that echo across time…
a quiet reminder of how September 11 changed everything…
for all of us.

So when the flag turns toward Florida…
it doesn’t feel like travel.

It feels like coming back to family.

To the men and women of Calhoun County…
We are on the way.

To the family of Deputy Bruner…
We stand with you.

To Florida…

You have carried this mission before.
You will carry it again.

🇺🇸 The United States Honor Flag is in motion.
🇺🇸 The mission continues.
🇺🇸 And this time…

…it’s returning to family.

Honor with Action.
Honor. Educate. Inspire.
