Meet Tito! 🐾

Tito is a 2–3-year-old Pocket Pitbull with a big personality packed into a little body! He was rescued alongside his brother, Tank, from a neglectful home. Tank has already found his forever family, and now it’s Tito’s turn.

Tito is a playful, affectionate, and incredibly sweet little guy. When he first meets you, he may act like you don’t exist 😂 but give him a little time to feel safe and earn your trust, and his loving personality comes shining through. Once he knows you, he’s all about affection and being part of the family.

He’s wonderful with kids and gets along great with other dogs, making him a great fit for a home with canine siblings. Cats, however, aren’t really his thing he tends to growl at them, so we believe Tito would be happiest in a cat-free home.

Tito is currently being fostered in Mexico and is ready to travel to the U.S. once he finds his forever family. 🇲🇽➡️🇺🇸

His brother already got his happy ending. Now we’re hoping it’s Tito’s turn. ❤️🐾

❤️‍🩹🐶Help Us Give Walter a Second Chance!

Meet Walter, a handsome Schnauzer mix who was found looking like a rag, barely able to walk, sleeping on the street and begging for food and shelter. 💔

Thanks to a caring person who shared his photo on Facebook, we were able to jump into action and rescue him, because **every stray deserves a second chance🌟

Walter is currently hospitalized. He was shaking in pain, but after 3 days of IV fluids and pain medication, he’s already doing better!

Multiple blood tests showed that his pancreas is inflamed, and he needs continued care to heal.

We will not let him down, and with your help, he’ll get the recovery and the life he has always deserved. ✨

This sweet 8-year-old Chihuahua was found curled up in a little hole underneath a tree🥺💔 We’ll never know exactly what he went through, but we do know one thing… Theo deserves to spend the rest of his life feeling safe and loved. 🏡❤️

Theo is the sweetest little gentleman! He’s calm, mellow, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to his humans.

🚐🐾 WE BOUGHT OUR FIRST RESCUE VAN!

Nine months ago, From Stray to Stay Rescue was just a dream with one big mission: to give dogs from the streets of Mexico the second chance they deserve 🇲🇽❤️

Today, that dream has wheels. 🥹🚐

Last month, we made the biggest purchase in our rescue’s history…..our very first rescue van.

To some, it may just look like a van.

To us, it represents lives.

It represents the dogs we’ll pick up at the border after their long journey from Mexico. The crates that will always be ready and safely secured. The scared little faces that will climb inside not knowing that they are about to begin a completely different life.

It represents more dogs rescued. More dogs transported. More families completed. More lives changed. 🐾🏡

Every mile this van travels will have a purpose.

From the streets of Mexico…
to the border…
to the arms of the families waiting for them. 🇲🇽➡️🇺🇸❤️

And we didn’t get here alone.

YOU helped us get here.

To every adopter who trusted us and trusted the process, every person who donated, shared our posts, attended our events, supported our mission, recommended our rescue, or simply cheered us on… this milestone belongs to you too.

Ten months ago, we started with a dream.

Today, we have a rescue van.

Because FROM STRAY TO STAY isn’t just our name or our motto.

It’s what we do.
It’s why we keep going.

She was running down a highway in the middle of a storm. We couldn’t just keep driving.

Meet Bunny, our approximately 3-year-old Maltese/Dachshund mix with the cutest long body and wavy, slightly wiry hair. Her breed is our best guess based on appearance.

The moment we got Bunny to safety, we discovered just how special she is. This little girl is PURE LOVE.

Bunny is the definition of a lap dog. She wants to be wherever you are—on your lap, next to you on the couch, sleeping beside you, or even right on top of you. She thrives on human affection and will happily follow her favorite person everywhere. She’s a true little shadow.

She is incredibly gentle and patient with kids, loves being petted, and has the sweetest, calmest personality. And quiet? We have literally NEVER heard her bark!

Bunny also loves car rides and makes the perfect little co-pilot. Wherever you’re going, she’s ready—as long as she gets to be with you.

She survived a highway in the middle of a storm. Now she deserves a life where she never has to wonder if she’s safe again.

Bunny isn’t asking for much. Just a lap to call hers and a human to love forever.

Those ears are cleared for TAKEOFF!

Meet Birdie, our approximately 2½-year-old sweetheart with the funniest, most adorable ears. We swear, sometimes it looks like she’s about to take flight with her little “ear wings.”

But Birdie is more than just a cute face and fabulous ears. She’s a calm, gentle, loving girl who was abandoned and left behind until a kind person found her and brought her to safety.

Birdie is great with kids and LOVES playing with dogs around her size. She’s playful when it’s time to have fun, but overall she’s a very calm, easygoing girl who just wants a family to call her own.

She’s already experienced what it feels like to be left behind. Now it’s time for Birdie to experience what it feels like to be chosen forever.

Her ear wings are ready… next stop: FOREVER HOME!

POV: You wanted a Labrador/Pointer… but someone accidentally selected “travel size.”

Meet Maple….. approximately 1½ years old, 17 lbs FULL GROWN, and somehow convinced she’s a full-size adventure dog.

Maple is our little overachiever. She’s incredibly smart, house-trained, has amazing recall, and actually listens when you call her. Yes… apparently those dogs DO exist.

She’s also an expert car rider. Open the door and Maple is ready. Hiking? She’s in. Long walk? Absolutely. Road trip? Sh***un. Exploring somewhere new? Say less.

Maple LOVES the outdoors and needs an active family who wants a dog to actually DO things with. She may be small, but couch potato is definitely not on her résumé.

She’s fantastic with young kids, good with other dogs (although she mostly ignores them because HUMANS are clearly superior), and she ignores cats too.

Basically, Maple is a tiny adventure buddy with the brain of the class valedictorian and the energy of someone who just heard, “Wanna go for a walk?”

Because of her active personality, we’d prefer a house over an apartment and a younger or active family who can keep up with her.

Her breed is our best guess based on appearance, but we believe she may be an English Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix in a fun-size package.

Maple is currently fostered in Mexico and will travel to the U.S. once adopted.

If your weekends involve hiking boots, car rides, kids, trails, and asking “Where should we go next?”… Maple would like to submit her application to join your family.

Two weeks ago, Bianca was afraid to be touched. Today, all she wants is to be in your lap.

Meet Bianca, our sweet 5–6-year-old Poodle mix. When she was found, she was terrified, severely matted, and covered in sticky grass. Every time someone reached out to touch her, she would jump in fear.

Then she learned what love feels like.

In just two weeks, Bianca has blossomed into the sweetest, most affectionate little girl. Now she wants cuddles, kisses, and a warm lap while you watch TV. At bedtime, she would be more than happy to snuggle right next to you.

She can still be shy when she first meets someone, but give her a little patience (and the RIGHT treats, because apparently Miss Bianca has standards), and she warms up quickly.

Bianca is crate trained, good with kids, and prefers her humans over other dogs. She’s okay around cats—she may bark at them, but she has never tried to hurt them.

She is sensitive to loud noises like fireworks and live music, so a calmer home where she can feel safe would be best.

It’s amazing what kindness can do. Bianca went from being afraid of a human hand to falling asleep in one’s lap.

Now she just needs a lap that belongs to her forever.

Meet Nugget: permanently concerned, slightly suspicious, and wondering if you remembered to lock the front door.

🤭Does he look a little worried? YES.
😜Is anything actually wrong? Probably not.
😅Does he remind us of Courage the Cowardly Dog? 100%.

Nugget came to us as an owner surrender after a change in his owner’s job meant they could no longer care for him. Now this funny little guy is looking for his FOREVER human.

Despite his “I’ve seen some things” expression, Nugget is actually a super sweet, playful and loving boy.

His hobbies include following his human EVERYWHERE, sleeping in your bed, playing with dogs his size, collecting toys, and supervising the neighborhood from the safety of his home.

Someone walking past the house? Nugget knows.
Package at the door? Nugget knows.
Leaf moving suspiciously outside? NUGGET PROBABLY KNOWS.

He loves his toys, so his dream home definitely includes a basket overflowing with them. But more than anything, Nugget wants a human of his own. He’s happiest right beside you—or preferably in your bed.

Basically, Nugget comes with unlimited love, free home security, a professional shadow, and one permanently worried little face.

Someone please adopt this tiny security guard and tell him everything is going to be okay.
