✨ A special invitation to celebrate music, art, and French culture in Houston 🇫🇷

We’re delighted to support the new season of Ars Lyrica Houston, bringing together the worlds of music, art, and cultural exchange.

Yvnamor Palix, Art Program Director of the Texas French Alliance for the Arts (TFAA), is proud to be part of this shared cultural journey and to help strengthen the connections between Houston’s artistic communities. 🎶🎨🇫🇷

🏹 The season begins, on September 25th, with Hunter’s Prey at Zilkha Hall, featuring Charpentier’s Actéon, excerpts from Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie, and music by Heinichen : a beautiful introduction to the richness of the French Baroque.

And there’s more to look forward to…

🇫🇷 TFAA Cultural Passport holders can join this cultural journey and collect an Ars Lyrica stamp when attending Hunter’s Prey. The passport is free and open to all.

🥂 Full-season subscribers will also be invited to an exclusive Season Kick-Off Party at L’Atelier Gallery, where music, visual art, and our creative community will come together to celebrate the season ahead.

We look forward to continuing to build bridges between music, art, and French-American cultural exchange, and to sharing these experiences with the Houston community. ✨

TFAA Board Members attended the the beautiful 2026 Bastille Day Consular reception. City, State Officials, Consular Corps and members of the French Texan communities gathered to celebrate the anniversary.
Special events included the newly inaugurated statue of Lafayette at the Houston Library and a very touching ceremony when ( please find him name I can’t remember) last living American Veteran Pilot from Texas who fought in the Second World War received the highest honor bestowed by France, La Legion d’Honneur. Consul General Frank Marchetti gave a beautiful speech and pinned the medal the war hero. This award was given by the President of the French Republic, Emanuel Macron.

The reception was beautifully catered by Chef Jean Luc Royere and his talented Pastry Chef Oralia Perez from The Post Oak. Music was by Adrian Ponce of Ars Lyrica.

What an unforgettable evening with Ars Lyrica! ✨

From welcoming new Cultural Passport subscribers to connecting with inspiring community leaders and talented artists, the evening was a true celebration of music, culture, and community.

One of the highlights was the magnificent performance of Orfeo, which earned a well-deserved standing ovation for its outstanding cast. We were also delighted to share this special evening with our newest subscribers, including mezzo-soprano Ceci Duarte, percussionist Jesus Pacheco, the iconic Matthew Dirst, and the Honorary Consul of Poland.
Guests also enjoyed the excitement of our art raffle, featuring a beautiful painting generously donated by Gallery L’Atelier and artist Alex Gutierrez.

A heartfelt thank you to our TFAA Board Members in attendance: Yvonamor Palix - TFAA Art Program Director, Odile Legay, and Laura Mardis.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support the arts through the TFAA Cultural Passport Program. Your enthusiasm and commitment help keep arts and culture thriving in our community. 🎭🎶
