💔SHONDA HAS JUST HOURS TO LIVE

She will be euthanized in just a couple of hours unless someone steps up.

The heartbreaking part?

She already has an adopter waiting for her.

She doesn’t need a forever home. She already has one.

She just needs a 2–3 week foster in the Houston area so she can make transport and finally get to the family that’s waiting to love her.

Right now, Shonda is sitting alone in a kennel, terrified.

She isn’t sick. She isn’t heartworm positive. She isn’t aggressive.

She’s simply overwhelmed.

This beautiful 3-year-old girl trembles with fear. She freezes when asked to walk. During one evaluation, she became so frightened she had to be carried back to her kennel. Now she lies quietly against the back wall, trying to make herself invisible while the clock counts down.

She came into the shelter with another dog and was separated from the only familiar face she had.

Imagine how scared she must be.

Bruno is an 11-month-old puppy who entered BARC in normal condition. He is heartworm negative and has received his DA2PP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, along with deworming and flea prevention. He has no significant medical concerns and is ready to head home.

🐾Behavior Notes:
Bruno is a sweet, affectionate young dog who loves people. He greets staff with a wiggly body, soft eyes, a wagging tail, and a big open-mouth smile. He walks well on a loose leash, often leaning into his handler for comfort and attention, and responds beautifully to gentle encouragement, treats, and even baby talk. Like many young dogs, Bruno can become bouncy and excited, occasionally jumping or grabbing at the leash. He has been friendly, calm with volunteers, and generally ignores other dogs while out on walks.
