❤️ Meet Bunker ❤️
Bunker isn't a Chinese Crested, but when he needed help, we couldn't turn him away.
Bunker recently had a toe amputated after it was diagnosed with carcinoma. Thankfully, the surgery is behind him, but his journey isn't quite over. We're monitoring him closely for any additional spots, and we're hopeful that this sweet boy gets to enjoy a long, happy life.
Because of his medical needs, Bunker will most likely become one of our **forever fosters**—a dog who stays with Tender Loving Crested Rescue for the rest of his life. That means we continue to provide for him, including his veterinary care, medications, and anything else he needs.
And Bunker isn't the only expense we've had recently.
Behind every dog we rescue are the less visible costs that keep a rescue running. We've recently had website hosting and domain renewals, in addition to our veterinary expenses. Those things may not be as exciting as seeing a dog find their forever home, but they're what allow us to continue saying **YES** when a dog needs us.
Right now, we need to raise approximately **$3,000**.
That will allow us to pay down our current veterinary bill and, just as importantly, give us a little cushion for the next dog who comes through our door needing help.
We know it sometimes feels like we're always asking. ❤️
The truth is, rescue is an ongoing commitment. The dogs don't stop needing us when the Facebook post disappears or when the surgery is over. And we don't want to be in a position where a dog needs help and we have to say, *“I'm sorry, we can't afford it.”*
