Name: Sanayia Golden
College: Prairie View A&M University

Major: Nursing
Spotlight: 3.5 GPA

Hi, my name is Sanayia Golden, and I am a senior at Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston, Texas. Throughout high school, I have challenged myself to grow both academically and personally, maintaining a strong GPA while staying actively involved in my community.

One of my proudest accomplishments has been competing in the Youth of the Year program through the Boys & Girls Club in both 2025 and 2026, where I earned 3rd place each year. This experience helped me build confidence, strengthen my public speaking skills, and reflect on my personal growth and leadership journey. It pushed me to become more self-aware and driven in everything I do.

I am also highly involved in the Boys & Girls Club, where I have participated in programs that focus on leadership, service, and personal development. Through this involvement, I have learned the importance of giving back, supporting others, and being a positive role model in my community.

I plan to attend Prairie View A&M University in Fall 2026 and major in Nursing. My goal is to build a successful career while continuing to grow as a leader and make a meaningful impact on others.

Name: Miles Chase
College: Prairie View A&M University

Major: Mechanical Engineering
Spotlight: 3.7 GPA

Hello, my name is Miles Chase, and I attend Midlothian Heritage High School. Over time, I’ve developed a strong interest in engineering and how things work, especially when it comes to machines and technology.

I have been accepted and I will attend THE Prairie View A&M University and major in Mechanical Engineering. I want to learn how to design and improve products, especially ones used in high-performance technology. I like the idea of solving problems and creating things that can actually be used in the real world.

My main career goal is to work for a company like Lockheed Martin, where I could help design advanced technology. I’ve also thought about becoming a technician in Formula 1 racing because I think working on fast cars and being part of that environment would be really exciting. Overall, I just want to keep learning, improving my skills, and building a successful future in engineering.
