Name: Mariah Arnsworth
College: Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Major: Business Administration
Spotlight: Ranked in Top 1%

I am a graduating senior attending Davis High School, where I take pride in pursuing every opportunity to grow both academically and personally. Currently ranked 8th out of 752 students, I am earning college credits toward my associate’s degree while actively engaging in leadership and service.
I serve as the Senior Class Vice President and Historian of the National Technical Honor Society. I am also a proud member of the National Honor Society, the Career and Technical Education Ambassador Program, and represent my district as an Aldine Student Ambassador. These roles have sharpened my leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Outside of school, I work as a Sales Lead at Shoe Palace and cheer on the varsity squad—experiences that have strengthened my time management, teamwork, and school spirit. Each of these opportunities have helped shape my character and fueled my ambition.
I will be attending Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University majoring in Business Administration. My long-term goal is to pursue a career in law, more specifically as a criminal defense attorney, where I hope to advocate for justice, fairness, and equality. With a passion for growth and service, I am committed to making a meaningful impact in my community while inspiring others to chase their goals with purpose and integrity.

Spotlight: Balanced Academics and Athletics

I’m a dedicated student-athlete graduating from Panther Creek High School in Texas. I have a 3.6 GPA and take pride in balancing academics with my commitment to football. My educational journey has taught me the value of perseverance, especially after facing challenges like transferring schools and recovering from multiple ACL injuries. These experiences have shaped me into a resilient and focused individual.
My interests revolve around leadership, sports, and personal growth. Football is a huge part of my life—not just because I love the game, but because of the lessons it teaches: discipline, teamwork, and mental toughness. After my injury, I worked hard through recovery and returned to the field stronger than ever. That experience deepened my passion for athletics and inspired me to help others push through adversity, including speaking to younger athletes about overcoming obstacles. Looking ahead, my goal is to play college football at a high level while earning a degree that sets me up for long-term success. Inspired by my dad, who played college football, I’ve always dreamed of following in his footsteps. I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and all the ways I can make a positive impact.

Name: Victoria Jones
College: University of Houston

Major: Biology
Spotlight: 3.9 GPA (4 pt scale)

I have always been passionate about science and helping others, which naturally led me to pursue a biology degree with a pre-med focus. I chose to study Biology because I want to help others suffering from pain or struggling with their bodies. My goal is to become a physician, specializing in a field where I can make a meaningful impact on underserved communities. I have actively participated in HOSA as the secretary, Top Teens of America Beaumont Chapter as the president, The National Secretary of Phi Delta Kappa Xinos Epsilon Theta as the secretary, and volunteered at various places such as Some Other Place, which shaped me into a driven and compassionate individual. I believe that with the right support, I can continue to thrive academically and eventually give back to my community as a healthcare professional.
