The new year brings hope for wonderful things to come!

Please know we are here to support you and your family. We are always happy to lend an ear and help you brainstorm resources!

So glad in 2025 we got the DBMD Waiver Cap increases!

Here’s how it is referenced on the internet:
The DBMD (Deaf-Blind with Multiple Disabilities) waiver cap refers to the annual cost limit for services, which in Texas was updated from roughly $114,736 to $149,774, effective September 1, 2025, allowing for more community-based care. This cap, set by Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) (HHSC), ensures individuals receive sufficient support in their homes and communities as an alternative to institutional care, with costs monitored to ensure services stay within this limit.

See us, hear us!

So, if you have not already increased services in your DBMD waiver, call your case manager to do so!

We will keep pursuing and sharing back about the long term housing options as we learn about them from HHSC!

Best wishes to you all in the New Year!
🤟

Best regards,
