Members of FCCLA and HOSA went to Springfield Convoy of Hope on Tuesday, March 31st, for their chapter service project. The students had the privilege of preparing and packaging boxes of hygiene products and baby necessities. These items are planned to be shipped to Hawaii to the flood victims.

Houston FCCLA members competed in the regional STAR competition today, Wednesday, January 14. All competitors medalled. Shiane Parish in Career Investigation Level 3 placed Gold - Advances to State. Sylvia Hayes Pursifull and Zoey Sutton in Event Management Level 3 placed Silver -Advances to State. Joclynn Cullen and Jaida White in Event Management Level 2 placed Silver -Advances to State. Leah Wallace in Leadership Level 3 placed Bronze. A big thanks to Alyssa Wolfe for being a student volunteer to the judges. Congratulations to each competitor.

The General Foods class and the FCCLA officers went to the NHRA speed races in St Louis. Students got to watch the drag races, tour several Sponsor Style food facilities, and learn about several industries within the race car rhelm. They all had a great time!
