Happy to share that the Sherwood Oaks Men’s Club Scholarship has been established in partnership with Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF).

The 2027 SOMC Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating High School student who meets the following criteria:
· Maintained minimum cumulative 4 year “B” average.
· Involved in at least 1 extra curricular activity.
· Resides in Sherwood Oaks neighborhood and/or graduated from Sherwood Elementary.
· Guardian must be an active member in either Sherwood Oaks Men's Club or Sherwood Oaks Mom’s Club.

SOMC is the fundraising vessel for this scholarship and interested applicants will be screened, vetted and chosen by SBEF based on the criteria above.

🤝 A big thank you to all of the SOMC members and our neighbors for helping at our annual neighborhood clean up day.

We disposed of trash, trimmed trees, power washed, fixed leaking pipes, destroyed ant beds, mulched the playground and did other various odd jobs to make our community space better for everyone.

Sherwood Oaks Men's Club and their guests had a great experience volunteering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. We helped build 45 beds for Houston-area kids in need. SHP started as a grassroots effort and is now serving kids in need nationwide -- truly a great organization with a great cause! 😴🛏

🔨🔧🛌 Join us 6/14 as we partner with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for children who don't have a bed of their own ensuring "no kid sleeps on the floor in our town".

This volunteer opportunity is open to SOMC members, their guests, and children (age 7+).
