Tony's Place Tony’s Place is a drop-in center in center focusing on LGBT+ youth up to 25 years of age who are unstably housed, couch surfing or experiencing homelessness.

Tony’s Place is a non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting and empowering LGBTQ+ youth, ages 14-25, by providing a safe space, key services, and valuable programming. Tony’s Place offers the following services and programming to individuals who are under 25 years of age:

-One on One case management is available Monday-Friday, 8am -4pm, by appointment only. To set an appointment, please email [email protected] or call 713-678-0733.

-Rotating groups are offered at our drop-in center Monday through Friday from 11am to 12pm.

-Drop-in services are available at our drop-in center Monday through Friday from 12pm to 2pm. We are a safe place where you can access services, free of charge, including:

Hot meals
Showers
Laundry
Backpacks and hygiene kits
Fashionable clothing
Use of computers
Wi-Fi and phone charging

The closet is giving “nothing to wear”... and this time it’s actually true. 😭

Tony’s Place is in need of masc casual clothing in all sizes — especially the everyday stuff people can actually throw on and go.

We’re talking:
👕 T-shirts
👖 Jeans & casual pants
🩳 Shorts
👟 Everyday casual wear
✨ Clean, comfortable, wearable basics

Basically… if you’d wear it to grab food, hang with friends, or run errands, we probably need it.

Come on out Saturday October 21st from 10am to 2pm to support Tony’s Place! We’ll be sorting, organizing, and cleaning to make sure our center is fall ready 🎃🍁🕯️

Donations are also greatly appreciated - high need items are underwear, socks, deodorant, and shoes.

It may be Fall but this Houston heat has not gotten the memo. 🥵☀️

Tony’s Place is in need of deodorant of all kinds, but travel size is super helpful for the young people we serve.

Because in Houston, “sweater weather” is sometimes just… sweating weather. 😭

🩵 **Visibility is more than being seen — it is being remembered, respected, and cared for.**

For Native American Day, Tony’s Place is celebrating Native q***r and Two-Spirit people whose leadership, art, scholarship, advocacy, and stories remind us that LGBTQ+ identities are part of Indigenous history, the present, and the future.

👉 Swipe through to meet some of the people whose work continues to create visibility, preserve history, and make space for the generations coming after them.

Honoring community also means talking about the inequities that still exist. In 2024, American Indian and Alaska Native people experienced a new HIV diagnosis rate of **9.2 per 100,000 people — nearly twice the rate among White Americans at 4.8 per 100,000.**

These disparities are not about anyone’s worth, identity, or culture. They are connected to barriers like stigma, discrimination, limited access to testing and prevention, and a lack of culturally responsive healthcare.

At Tony’s Place, celebrating diversity means making room for the full range of identities, histories, cultures, and experiences within our LGBTQ+ community — and making sure care comes without shame.

**Knowing your status is healthcare. PrEP is healthcare. HIV treatment is healthcare. U=U is science. Living with HIV is never something to be ashamed of.**

We’re prepping for our Q***r Homecoming and we need help building all our Under the Sea decorations 🪸🐠
Come help us make the homecoming magic happen!✨

We also welcome donation drop offs during volunteer day - all donations are appreciated, but some highly needed items include socks, underwear, bras, deodorant, and masc clothing.
