here’s what a wednesday with us looks like from your side.

the details land before you leave the house. venue, time, what to wear, a playlist for the drive, and the prompts you’ll be talking about, so you arrive already warmed up.

someone’s at the door with your name. your tag carries a line telling everyone what to ask you about, so the first conversation starts on its own.

half an hour in you get a text with your table. picked around who you’re likely to click with. then a game lands in your hands, a host keeps it moving, and the stories start.

showing up is the hardest part of any night out, so we built ours around making that bit easy.

You reserve a seat. We do the rest.
That’s the whole system.

You book, you fill in a connection profile, we build the seating chart by hand the week before, you turn up, and we teach the game at your table in five minutes. Nothing else is asked of you.

Keeping it to five steps was harder than it sounds, and it’s the reason people who arrive on their own stop noticing they came alone at about the four minute mark.

First weekly Wednesday is 19 August. Playing Unstable Unicorns. Doors at 7, tables at 7:30, Spaghetti Western 1951 W T C Jester Blvd.

If you know , you already get it.

It's a Houston spot, Italian, the kind of place where the portions are enormous and nobody's ever rushed you out the door. We looked at a lot of rooms for our fall season. This one didn't need any convincing. It already does the thing we spend all our energy trying to build: it makes people comfortable the second they sit down.

So that's where we'll be. Every Wednesday starting August 19th. Twelve weeks, twelve themes, three games in rotation, and a table of people you haven't met yet.

what actually happens at a ligare gathering, from the second you walk in.

someone's expecting you. there's a name tag and a host who knows your name. first half hour is there to take the pressure off and get that much needed vino.

thirty minutes in we sit the tables, and your seat isn't random, we worked out who should be next to who.

then the game hands you a task. five minutes to learn, and it takes the table somewhere real.

two hours later the candles are down and you know actual things about actual people.

August, all mapped out. Here’s where we’ll be.

Every Wednesday at Spaghetti Western T C Jester on T C Jester, 7 to 9pm, plus a one-off Sunday session at Drop of the Creator Spirits Co on the 23rd for anyone who can’t do weeknights.

Same deal every time. You get a name tag, you get the seat we picked for you, we teach the game to the whole table so nobody’s behind.

Most people are nervous. Most have never played the game. Both are normal here.

We also clocked that August gives us National Waffle Day, International Red Wine Day and National Eat Outside Day in one week, so if you needed a sign, that’s three.
