Did you buy plants at PlantCon? Here's 3 easy steps to make sure they thrive inside your home:

1. Water them!💧
Many of these plants traveled across the country, or even across the world, to be at the show. They need a long soak to refresh themselves.

2. Inspect for pests!🪳
With all those plants packed in leaf-to-leaf, it's possible some unwanted hitchhikers traveled home with you. Inspect very closely for pests like mealybugs, thrips, and spider mites, and quarantine your new purchases away from your current collection. Wait a few weeks and check again for bugs before letting them meet the rest of your plant family!

3. Let them acclimate! 😊
It's so tempting to want to immediately hop in on repotting, pruning, fertilizing, propagating, moss poling, and arranging, but resist the urge! Plants need a slow, quiet acclimation period to adjust to a new home so let them rest for a bit. Don't panic if you see a few droopy or yellowing leaves- we can fix our plants up once they've gotten used to their new location. Get them under correct lighting in a non-drafty space in quarantine and let them catch their breaths from the long journey.

Bonus:
Send pictures! 📸

Plant vendors eat, breathe, and sleep houseplants, so we love seeing your new purchases in their forever homes! If a .intl vendor had a big impact on your convention experience, sending them pictures of your new greenery is a great way to show appreciation and share some plant love.
