Houston HowdyClub Your Aggie Family in Houston! Make friends, network & give back with us! We currently are able to award $30,000 in scholarships annually!

Join us for happy hours, game watches, intramurals, book clubs & more — while raising over $400,000 in scholarships for current Texas A&M students since 2013. Houston Howdy Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and grow the Aggie Spirit and traditions of Texas A&M University in our home of Houston, TX. Through events such as happy hours, A&M Football watch parties,

barge trips, and other events, we are able to not only preserve the Aggies Spirit, but also grow it by awarding scholarships to current Texas A&M Students.

Meet our Secretary, Kayla Daugherty!
Kayla graduated from Texas A&M in 2016 with a B.A. in History, and received her Masters in 2017 in Education Curriculum and Instruction.

Kayla wanted to become an officer in Howdy Club in order to join a community of young Ags that work together towards helping the current generation of Aggies. She loves having the chance to help build a flourishing community that keeps the Aggie spirit alive even outside of College Station!

Her favorite part of Howdy Club is attending the football watch parties with so many other Ags. It’s so nice to be able to feel the Aggie Spirit while cheering on our boys, but also indoors with AC 😉

The Aggie Ring is Kayla’s favorite tradition. Being able to identify fellow Ags easily is always a good talking point, and she is big on the Aggie community!

Meet our Vice President of Operations, Caroline Mitchell!
Caroline graduated from Texas A&M in 2018 with a B.S. in Allied Health

Caroline first joined Howdy Club when she initially moved to Houston to help make a big city feel a bit smaller. She wanted to become an officer to help others find a community here, while also getting the opportunity to give back to our school.

Her favorite part of Howdy Club is the community it builds. She feels the Aggie spirit really shines in the kindness and support everyone shows for each other! She also loves our yearly barge trip, it’s a big bonding experience that is one of her favorite large events we do.

Caroline’s favorite tradition is Muster.

It’s Meet the Officers Monday! 👍

Meet our Vice President of Finance and our upcoming President Elect, Steven Bridges!
Steven graduated from Texas A&M in 2010 with a B.B.A. in Accounting.

Steven became an officer after he had been a member of Howdy Club for several years. He wanted to give back to the organization that had helped him to find friends after moving to Houston on his own. He also knows just how difficult it can be as a student trying to balance academics and finances, and he wanted to help current students through the Howdy Club scholarship.

His favorite part of Howdy Club is the community. He has been a member for over a decade and the people he has met and become friends with through the club are what keeps him involved in the organization.

His favorite Aggie tradition is the 12th Man. Always being ready to step in and help your community when needed is a quality he highly values and the 12th Man is the perfect representation of that virtue.

Ashlyn graduated from Texas A&M in 2017 with a B.S. in Biology.

Ashlyn first joined Howdy Club because she was looking to meet new people and get involved with an organization dedicated to giving back to the community.

Her favorite part of Howdy Club is getting to make a difference in the lives of Texas A&M undergraduate students through our scholarship program. It is so rewarding to get to know the students and hear about the amazing things they are doing at A&M.

We are so excited to start a series introducing you to the Aggies that make Howdy Club possible.
Meet our current president, Aaron Keegan!
Aaron graduated from Texas A&M in 2016 with a B.S. in Political Science.

Aaron became an officer in Howdy Club a few years ago, he wanted to give back and provide the same amazing community to others that Howdy Club gave to him when he first moved to Houston.

His favorite part of Howdy Club is being able not only to give back to current students at A&M, but also providing a place for Aggies in Houston to gather. It brings him a lot of joy knowing he gets to play a part in keeping the Aggie Spirit strong not only in Aggieland, but in Houston too.

His favorite Aggie tradition is Muster.
