ABOUT IRENE
Irene is a graceful Cameroonian girl whom after a childhood of extensive abuse and rejection began to manifest her struggles physically. In her attempt to fit in, be accepted and loved, she ended up masking her true self behind bleaching her skin and hair to look white, dressing provocatively and making choices that only made her situation worst. Underneath her mask was a very insecure
hateful, vengeful, jealous, lazy, selfish and unforgiving girl. That cost her seven years of her teenage years hopeless on the streets of Cameroon, West Africa. News of her mothers’ death came not only as a shock, but also as a wake up call. This coupled with unexpected events made a life changing impact on her and caused a U-turn into an exciting journey to self-discovery and love. That was over 15 years ago, and it took a lot of falling and getting back up to get to where she is today. She did not suddenly become a person to be proud of; neither was she the hopeless person who for lack of motivation blamed everyone else for her failures. Today, Irene as mastered how to pick the lessons in every setback and to stay on top. She is a true friend to many, sister to others and a mother figure to many less privileged girls, a loving wife, a loving daughter, an employer and an employee to others and, a motivation to thousands of people worldwide. Today, Irene is willing to tell her story in an attempt to tell the stories of the million other girls on the street still struggling to find themselves. THE CECILIA NANZE ACHAH SCHOLARSHIP (CNAS)
Named after Irene’s late mother, whose words of wisdom inspired her to take back control over her life and future. Even though she left too soon, her life and inspiration lives in the hearts of many. CNAS is the Non Profit arm of the show and is responsible for all scholarships, the upkeep and the marketing of its vision. MISSION

The said TV show was inspired by Irene’s personal journey. Emerge started in the year 2012 as a website for those whom the trials of life had left them with questions and insecurities. It has a Facebook fan page, which quickly grew and is visited by thousands of people from all over the world who are excited over its’ uplifting and inspirational content. In the beginning of the year 2015, Emerge embraced the opportunity to take the show to television through Cameroon Radio and Television, (CRTV), our countries national TV channel on satellite. Irene intends to use her experiences to enrich lives, inspire and challenge her audiences to dare to live a more fulfilling and authentic life. Irene named the show behind the precept that learning is a part of growth and so; she is willing to hold someone’s hand on this exciting journey. SHE BELIEVES THAT THERE IS NO TESTIMONY WITHOUT A TEST, NO MESSAGE WITHOUT A MESS…. Irene always finds a way to stand after being beaten down by life’s trails. The strength to overcome the tests and all the mess that life has thrown at her has given her the confidence and courage to be the inspiration to others still trying to figure their way out. Irene is a firm believer that the way we perceive ourselves as individuals start from the struggles we face within. First, the power to emerge and re invent you is not a means to gain control over others. Rather its realizing that we are born into an imperfect world where we sub consciously picked up attributes from our surrounding that may have distorted the way we perceive ourselves and others. Society has made us to believe that we are not good enough, we can’t make it, someone else is better, that our past defines us and, that it’s too late to make it right. It’s time to start telling ourselves the opposite if we want to take of our future. Its time to face our giants directly learn from our mistakes and forge ahead. As an inspirational writer, coach, a motivational speaker and the Emerge show host, Irene seeks to inspire and encourage her viewers to love and accept themselves for whom they truly are. She believes that no one can give what he or she does not have. To regain control of our future, we must start by investing in our journey of self-love and acceptance. Only then can one have enough in our love accounts to give back. It’s very important to broadcast such content to the world audience. I choose to represent love. Self –love is what motivates and brings me back up again when setbacks in life beat me down. I, Irene have found the greatest fulfillment in going out of my way to be there for a stranger. I’ve been on both sides of the coin (the giving and the receiving end), and I can assure you that the “giving end” is more fulfilling. ON THE RECEIVINF END: From my own personal experience, the impact created when a total stranger is willing to listen to your struggle and give you a helping hand is more impacting than if your family or friends did that for you. ON THE GIVING END: The fulfillment of going out of your way to make the necessary sacrifices to be there for a complete stranger is worth it all. The joy to see them excel and the sudden smiles on their faces are priceless. Every girl in the program was once a “stranger” to me but Love has bounded us to live like sisters.
