This Encampment is devoted to the study of Magick and Thelema in the Valley of Houston, a Chartered Body of Ordo Templi Orientis.

Meetings are held for the public to meet, learn and grow and establish a healthy Local Thelemic community.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to all who joined and participated in the Feast of the First Night of the Prophet and His Bride.

Your presence transformed this commemoration into a true act of fraternity and devotion. Together we celebrated the sacred union of the Prophet and His Bride, a mystery that embodies Will and Love, Vision and Beauty, the creative balance that sustains our Work.

This Feast is not only a remembrance, but a renewal — a living affirmation of the eternal bond that inspires us to persevere in the Great Work, to unite opposites, and to manifest the divine harmony within and without.

We are grateful for your participation, your energy, and your dedication to the current that flows through our Order. May the blessings of this Feast remain with you, strengthening your path and deepening your joy in the Law of Thelema.

On April 5th the Electoral College of the OTO met and received my resignation and approved our Brother V.V.O., as the new Body Master and his vision to take our Encampment to another level with his energy and activities.

It was a pleasure serving the local community to my capacity for the past 7 years, but I have accomplished my goal, which was to get it started, funded and create a good foundation.

Thank you again everyone for your continues support through out the years.

Company of Stars Encampment—founded in 2019 and located in the Valley of Houston Texas—is a local body of Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) under charter from United States Grand Lodge. We are a fraternal, initiatory organization, similar to Freemasonry and the ancient mystery schools, that has accepted the Law of Thelema as revealed in The Book of the Law. As such, we support the mission of the Grand Lodge “to effect and promote the doctrines and practices of the philosophical and religious system known as Thelema, with particular emphasis on cultivating the ideals of individual liberty, self-discipline, self-knowledge, and universal brotherhood.”

The Community

Company of Stars Camp. represents an active community of Thelemites with various backgrounds, interests, and occupations. We believe that “the Law is for All” and so we welcome any individual who is sincerely interested in the Great Work and who conduct themselves in a manner consistent with our Work. We do not discriminate based on race, gender, sexual orientation, handicap, or religious beliefs. Many if not most of our events are public, and participation in our community can come through attending events, taking Baptism and/or Confirmation in the church, or initiation. Membership in the Camp proper is restricted to initiates of Ordo Templi Orientis.

Cultural & Educational Events

Besides our formal rituals and celebrations, we produce numerous other events and projects. These include a tradition of ritual theatre stretching back to 1995, which began with seven years of performing The Rites of Eleusis. We hold social events, celebrate the holidays of the Thelemic calendar, perform original ritual, hold classes on topics related to our mysteries and teachings, sponsor discussion groups and other fora, and host special events and weekend symposia. We frequently host special events and weekend seminars. Please see our calendar for a full list of our events. We are looking forward to be more active within the Houston community.

Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica

Our Khaos Sanctuary is the church environment wherein we celebrate our ecclesiastical ceremonies, primarily the Gnostic Mass, which we celebrate weekly. Our Masses are open to the public, and Baptism and Confirmation in the Church does not require initiation into the Order. Times of our public Gnostic Mass celebrations are posted on our calendar.

Rites of Initiation

The Encampment administers the initial degrees (0°–III°.) in the Order’s graded system of initiations. In the rituals of these degrees, O.T.O. seeks to instruct the individual by allegory and symbol in the profound mysteries of Nature, and thereby to assist each to discover his or her own true Identity. Initiates of O.T.O. who are in good standing with Order constitute the membership of O.T.O. in the United States, and membership in Company of Stars Encampment requires one to be an initiate in good standing with the United States Grand Lodge of O.T.O. Those seeking initiation through Company of Stars Encampment should contact a Camp Officer for assistance in that pursuit.Love is the law, love under will.
