For Families like Us is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 2017. As former foster parents and a former foster child, the founders experienced, first-hand, the needs of children who first arrive in the foster or kinship system. We believe that there are needs beside the basics like food and shelter, there are things that can help make a child feel normal. Our mission is to provide children in foster and kinship care with clothing and other basic needs.
