Today, VFW Post 8790 proudly participated in the 2026 Day of Service, showcasing veterans banding together to make a difference in our community.

This year, we followed the mission led by Irene Infante and George Perez as they worked tirelessly to help distribute food to those in need, including fellow veterans. Their continued dedication to serving both veterans and our local community is truly inspiring. Alongside them were comrades, auxiliary members, and volunteers all stepping up to lend a helping hand.

This is what the VFW stands for — service, unity, and community. Coming together for the greater good and making a positive impact in the lives of others. We are proud to serve beside such compassionate and dedicated individuals. 🇺🇸 HoustonTX

VFW Post 8790 presented certificates and the VFW Auxiliary Post 8790 provided gifts, refreshments and snacks for the new recruits.
