A huge THANK YOU to our Awesome Vet for fixing Pinto Bean’s Nose so he could breathe better. Just look how open his nostrils are now !! 🤩

Frenchies are brachiocephalic meaning:

Due to their skeletal structure, these dogs are highly predisposed to Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS), which causes several anatomical issues:

Narrowed Nostrils: Pinched or tiny nasal openings that restrict airflow.

Elongated Soft Palate: Excess tissue at the back of the roof of the mouth that can block the windpipe.

Tracheal Collapse: A narrow or weak windpipe.

Poor Heat Regulation: Because panting is their primary method of cooling down, they struggle to regulate their body temperature, making them highly susceptible to heatstroke.

Pinto Bean suffered a heat stroke a few weeks ago after getting in to a hot car all while waiting for the ac to cool him down. Unfortunately he couldn’t cool down quick enough because of his narrowed nostrils and having a narrow palate that kept him from getting enough oxygen in.

We think this was actually a blessing in disguise so we could perform this surgery on him to help him be able to breathe properly and never suffer a heat stroke again. Little did we know his trachea is the size of a tiny kitten making it even harder for him to breathe. She doesn’t know how he’s survived this long with these two serious abnormalities going on.

Look at him now! He can breathe so much better. He doesn’t snort and sound like a pig 🐷 anymore. We will definitely miss that piggy sound he used to make. But all of us are so happy he can breathe better.

Thank You Dr. J!
For giving Pinto Bean a new lease on life. We are so thankful & grateful for you. Now he can live a normal life without suffering another heat stroke.

Wanted to share this beautiful update on our 12 yrs old mini schnauzer Indy we just got from her adoptive mom:

Indy is such a precious little girl. She comes to work with me everyday and loves meeting everyone. We are so blessed to have her in our life! And we are so thankful and grateful to you and Saving Pups of Texas for allowing us to have her in our life. 💜

And to think some people said we would never get her adopted because of her age. Well, look at her now. We are a rescue that takes in all ages. We don’t care how young or how old. If they need rescuing and we can help save them, then we will. We know God has a plan for every dog we take in to the rescue. We know HE puts these dogs in our path for a reason.

Congratulations Indy!
You have the best life with your new mom. She was an answer to our prayers for you. You sure deserved the best family after all you went thru.
We are all smiling ear to ear seeing your precious picture in your purple harness enjoying the car ride to work with your momma. You are so loved sweet girl.
We love you and miss you. But are so happy you’re HOME 🏡 💜🐶🙏🏼🥰

Our rescue pup Olivia is almost to her new mom and dad in Seattle Washington. This is what a Transport van looks like when dogs are heading to their new families out of the state of Texas. This transport is going to the PNW.

A huge Thank You to for transporting our rescue dogs to their new families. We couldn’t do this without them. 🥰

We also can’t wait for Olivia and all the rescue dogs on board to arrive to their new families.

Thank you to our foster families who help us be able to save dogs in need just like Olivia. Her brother went to his new family in Indiana a few weeks ago. He is now living his best life with his new family.

But we still have their three siblings Freya, Jenna and Tommy who are still looking for their forever, loving families.

Stay tuned for more to come on Olivia meeting her new family.
