Adoption Network of Texas

Adoption Network of Texas Elevate, Educate, and Advocate for members of the adoption triad while promoting legislation for adoptees to obtain their original birth certificates.

Adoption Network of Texas is comprised of adoptees, birth families, and adoptive families (adoption triad) working together to promote legislation for adoptee rights. The current focus for the 2017 Legislative session is on changing Texas law to allow all Texas born adult adoptees equal access to their Original Birth Certificates (OBC). Current Texas Law only allows adult adoptees access to their

OBC if they know the name of the birth mother listed on the OBC. Adoptees who have little or no information about their birth parents do not benefit from this law. In addition to legislation, Adoption Network of Texas provides support to all members of the adoption triad during the search for their families as well as helping navigate the sometimes complex realities of reunion. Our doors and hearts are open to all members of the triad, their families our organization and support groups. Everyone is welcomed at any stage of their journey. This is a public, all inclusive page intended for honest, respectful and civil discussions about adoption issues, awareness, legislation, and community outreach.
