The Communication and Digital Media Association (CDMA) is not affiliated with a national, state or off-campus organization. The CDMA organization is open to all majors at UHCL free of charge. The organizational goals include but are not limited to: allow members to meet new people and apply learned skills while participating at school events, gain access to GSP study groups, create networking oppo

rtunities between students and future employees, provide honor cords to members in their last semester before graduation as long as they are active members (i.e. volunteer at CDMA events and bake sales, attend tours, help promote the organization, etc.)

On Friday, April 22, 2022, CDMA Members and Officers gave back to their communities by helping out at their local Houston Food Bank. We can all make a difference in this world, and it starts by giving a bit of our time to do it. We hope you can join us in our future volunteer events.

Our Story

MISSION STATEMENT

The Communication and Digital Media Association (CDMA) is an organization open to all University of Houston – Clear Lake (UHCL) students (undergraduates and graduates) who have a passion for videography, photography, graphic design, web design, computer animation, public relations, advertising, or any other area in the arts and media field, regardless of major.

The organization’s goals include but are not limited to: assist members in meeting new people with similar interests, apply learned skills by participating in university events and activities (videotaping functions, preparing advertising designs for events, photographing at various activities, creating simple and complex animation projects, etc.), provide access to GSP study groups taking the GSP test (a required exam for Communication majors), create networking opportunities between students and future employers (including UHCL Alumni), offer tutoring classes in utilizing multimedia software and provide honor cords to members in their last semester before graduation, provided they are active members (i.e. volunteer at CDMA events, fundraisers, contributed talents in events/ activities, attend tours and presentations, assist promoting the organization, etc.).

All UHCL Alumni that were members of CDMA continue to be a part of the organization. “Once CDMA, Always CDMA!”
